Abstract: A surface-modified serum albumin-metal porphyrin composite that contains serum albumin which clathrates a metal porphyrin and to which a polyoxyethylene group is covalently bonded to the molecular surface of the serum albumin.
Abstract: A fibrous polyion complex or a polyion complex shapable to a mass or a film is prepared by reacting polycation having polymerization degree of not less than 5 or polyamine having polymerization degree of not less than 6 with polycarboxylic acid having polymerization degree of not less than 5. At least one of the reactants may preferably be of long chain polymer if fibrous polyion complex is desired.
Abstract: A polymeric metal complex capable of reversibly adsorbing oxygen to itself and desorbing oxygen therefrom, whose central metal is a low valency transition metal selected from the group consisting of metals belonging to Groups VIA, VIIA, VIII, IB and IIB of the fourth to the sixth periods of the periodic table; whose panar ligand is a chelate ligand selected from the group consisting of bi-, ter- and quadri-dentate monomeric ligands; and whose axial ligand is a polymeric ligand containing a functional group having a coordinating capacity.
