The first coupling part is arranged in a cavity on the unit and the locking nut or the like is designed with a thread or similar via which the nut or the like can be fastened to the unit. The locking nut or the like positions the locking wire or the locking ring while simultaneously holding the first coupling part fastened in the cavity.

A first of said coupling parts is provided with a centrally arranged body and an inner casing slidingly arranged between two positions relative to the central body. In a first or disconnected position, the inner casing cooperates with the central body to keep closed a passage for a fluid medium through the first coupling part. A second of said coupling parts has a front section interactable with the inner casing in order to force the inner casing to a second position against the force of a spring which urges the casing towards the body. In the second or connected position of the inner casing, the passage for the fluid medium is opened.

Abstract: In a coupling unit having first and second parts connectable and disconnectable with each other, the second part is provided with an outer ring-shaped groove which extends through the wall of the second part along the circumference. The first part has a corresponding recess or groove. The parts are connected by at least one locking ring. The locking ring is located in the groove of the second part and has at least one indentation which extends through the groove and interacts with the recess in the first part.

In said connected position, two separate channels are formed through the coupling device; the first channel transmits to a first medium and the second channel transmits to a second medium. The first channel extends through a unit positioned in the coupling device. The unit slidingly moves in the longitudinal direction of the coupling device during connection of the parts. The sliding movement of the unit is coordinated with the opening movement of the valve of the first part.
