Patents Assigned to El-Jay, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4166585
Abstract: A rotary table for an impact crusher has upper and lower table plates grooved to receive restraining lugs on impeller shoes which are clamped between the plates. The grooves also receive the restraining lugs of segmental wear plates which are held in place, vertically, by having end portions fitting in notches formed conjointly by shoulders on the impeller shoes and the inner faces of the table plates. The latter and the shoes have lip portions to shield the outer edges of the table plates from wear.

  • Patent number: 4165655
Abstract: A vibrating screen apparatus having plural unbalanced shaft assemblies to impart vibratory movement to a screen. Each screen assembly has a gear hub to which a pair of eccentric weights are secured in flanking relationship. The shaft assemblies are drivingly connected to one another by an arrangement including an annular gear mounted on the gear hub. The annular gear has such a special relationship to the weights and gear hub, that the act of clamping the weights in place on the gear hub simultaneously clamps the annular gear in place.

  • Patent number: 4065063
Abstract: A flared distributor cap of a rotated impeller assembly directs material to be crushed radially outwardly to scoop-like impeller shoes which fling the material outwardly against breaker bars. The impeller shoes hook over mounting blocks and a pin and a screw will retain a shoe in place should the hook break. An annular distributor table carrying the mounting blocks and shoes has an annular, undercut groove in which interchangeable arcuate segmental wear plates fit. An undercut peripheral edge of a distributor cap overlies beveled, inner peripheral edges of the wear plates to lock them in position. Upper wear plates are secured to an annular distributor table cover, and have undercut grooves into which the cover fits.

  • Patent number: RE29798
Abstract: An impeller assembly having a hard wear plate has replaceable impeller shoes and is rotated on a vertical axis to throw material against vertically reciprocated, replaceable breaker bars to crush the material. The breaker bars are reciprocated by power driven jacks. The material is supplied to the impeller through a spout having a dust-sealing valve. The impeller has a shaft journalled in a sealed impeller shaft housing mounted resiliently on a base, and the shaft is driven by a double universal joint drive. Lubricant is pumped from a sealed input shaft housing into the impeller shaft housing and back to the input shaft housing.
