    Abstract: A child proof cover for the control panel of equipment such as audio and video players. The cover has a sheet that attaches to the case of the equipment and extends over the control panel. One end of the sheet is detachably connected to the case above the control panel and the other end of the sheet is connected to the case below the control panel by a latch assembly that includes a safety lock. The latch assembly requires several buttons to be simultaneously depressed to lift the sheet off the control panel.
