Abstract: Nonwoven fabrics may be fashioned as topical delivery systems with increased and controllable rate of product release, while still possessing the requisite strength and durability for mass production and distribution. Such delivery systems comprise fabrics that are fashioned from micro-denier fibers that are produced by fibrillating bicomponent island-in-the-sea fibers. Facial masks made from these fabrics can achieve adequate product delivery in 3-5 minutes or less.

Abstract: A reconfigurable container-closure system is comprised of first (10) and second containers (110) and first (12) and second closures (112). The container-closure system can assume either of two configurations. The first configuration means that the first closure (12) is secured to the first container (10), and the second closure (112) is secured to the second container (110). Also, an orifice reducer, cartridge and piston are all attached to the second closure (112), and two products are separated. Second configuration means that the second closure (112) is secured to the first container (10), and the first closure (12) is secured to the second container (110). Also, the orifice reducer, cartridge and piston are all attached to the first container (10), and two products are allowed to mix and be dispensed. The transfer is accomplished by a user who simply screws the second closure (112) onto the first container (10).

Abstract: The application describes a watch band and methods of manufacture and use thereof. In various embodiments, the watch band includes a first portion and a second portion continuous with the first portion. The first portion can be made of a first material and be adapted to be located directly under a back of a watch case. The second portion can include a series of rigid links formed from a second material that is different than the first material. The second portion can be adapted to wrap around the wrist of a user. In various embodiments, the watch band can feature offset links to enable the watch band to curl around a user's wrist while maintaining the watch case at a low profile above the first portion. In some cases, the watch band can include a detachment mechanism remote from where the watch band attaches to the watch case.

Abstract: A refillable dispenser for a stick product comprises a holder cup, an A-shell and an inner base. Preferably, the dispenser will also comprise an outer base and a closure. The holder cup and A-shell form a cartridge subassembly for a stick product that can be bottom filled, and removed and replaced as needed. The dispenser requires no lubricant.
Abstract: Powdery cosmetic compositions comprise a particulate phase and a binder sub- composition. The binder sub-composition consists of a viscous emollient, a non-viscous emollient, a triglyceride ester fatty acid, and one or more specific waxes. The binder sub-composition is particularly suited for use in stabilizing pearlescent and metallic pigments. The compositions are stable, have a creamy texture, and are suitable for long-wear, while providing true color, excellent color payoff and skin conditioning.

Abstract: A container for a stick product utilizes a novel inner body that has no gaps along its top perimeter. As a result, significant advantages in assembly and operation are realized. Containers according to the present invention may be useful for all types of stick products that are applied by drawing the product across a surface.
Abstract: A dual-ended stick mechanism comprises a dual-ended holder cup that holds two stick products; a single inner body with longitudinal shaft; a single cam sleeve a with helical groove; two A-shell members; and two overcaps. When either overcap is rotated with respect to the opposite A-shell, the holder cup moves up and down. A register feature alerts the user that the holder cup has reached its neutral position.
Abstract: A cosmetic preparation system may provide a diagnostic or shade matching tool, a dispenser unit, and a mixer unit. The diagnostic or shade matching tool may identify a user skin type and customize one or more ingredients to create a custom blend composition. The dispenser unit may dispense ingredients and prepare the custom blend composition in containers of various sizes. The mixer unit may provide a mixing assembly to mix the one or more ingredients using gyroscopic mixing.
Abstract: A cosmetic container, such as a compact, that comprises a lid hingedly connected to a base, and a lighting circuit. Some embodiments of the invention comprises a one-way mirror, while others comprise a variable transparency film. Preferred embodiments, however, comprise both a one-way mirror and a variable transparency film that work cooperatively to provide a lid that is see through when viewed from the outside, and reflective when viewed from the inside.
