Abstract: A water-recycling personal care device includes a housing, a pad, a dispenser, and a collection system. The housing has a reservoir that is configured to contain a cleaning agent. The pad is removably connected to the housing, and the dispenser is contained within the housing and configured to dispense a quantity of the cleaning agent from the reservoir. The collection system is configured to collect the quantity of the cleaning agent dispensed from the reservoir after use. The personal care device may communicate with an external device to adjust a quality or amount of the quantity of cleaning agent dispensed from the dispenser.
Abstract: A system for sample, trial, and/or full-sized products includes a container defining at least one cavity, a product disk, a cosmetic product, an applicator, and an applicator engaging mechanism operably coupled with the applicator. The product disk includes a first side, a second side, a body extending therebetween, and a disk engaging mechanism. At least a portion of the first side of the product disk is selectively positionable adjacent to the at least one cavity of the container. The cosmetic product is at least partially disposed on the first side of the product disk. The applicator has first end that includes an applicator retention region. At least a portion of the second side of the product disk is positionable adjacent to the applicator retention region. The product disk is removably coupled with the cavity of the container and the applicator coupling mechanism.

Abstract: Cosmetic compositions for application to the skin comprise: a dispersion medium comprising an aqueous phase and a hydrophobic phase; a carboxylic acid-based agent comprising at least one carboxylic acid, any ester thereof, any salt thereof, or any combination thereof dispersed in the aqueous phase of the dispersion medium; and a plurality of coated pigment particles dispersed as solids in the hydrophobic phase of the dispersion medium. For example, the coated pigment particles may comprise a silica coating.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a handheld makeup applicator device that may analyze the real-time data associated with the face of a user in order to generate a three-dimensional map associated with the face of the user and identify one or more facial features of the face of the user on the three-dimensional map associated with the face of the user. The handheld makeup applicator device may control one or more haptic feedback components to provide haptic feedback as the user holds the handheld makeup applicator device to the face of the user, based on a location of the handheld makeup applicator device with respect to the one or more facial features of the face of the user.
Abstract: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) may be prepared to contain a high loading of one or more hydrophobic adsorbates therein. Suitable metal-organic frameworks may exhibit stable retention of hydrophobic adsorbates within the pore space of the MOF, such as MOF loadings of at least 20% without appreciable environmental leaching over 24 hours. Certain hydrophobic adsorbates may exhibit unexpectedly higher photostability and UV absorption as compared to the respective free hydrophobic adsorbates.

Abstract: A robotic cosmetic application device, and techniques for controlling the device, are provided. The device may include sensors that capture real-time data associated with a user's face and robotic arms equipped with makeup applicator tools. The device may receive an indication of a makeup look selected by the user; analyze the real-time data associated with the user's face in order to generate a three-dimensional map associated with the face of the user, identify facial features of the user's face on the three-dimensional map; and control the robotic arms to automatically adjust the makeup applicator tools with respect to the user's face, to apply one or more cosmetic products to the user's facial features in order to achieve the makeup look selected by the user.
Abstract: A handheld makeup applicator device, and techniques for controlling a handheld makeup applicator device, are provided. Example techniques may include receiving an indication of a makeup look selected by a user; analyzing real-time data associated with the face of the user captured by sensors of the handheld makeup applicator device to generate a three-dimensional map associated with the face of the user; identifying facial features on the three-dimensional map associated with the face of the user; and controlling actuators of the handheld makeup applicator device to automatically adjust interchangeable applicator heads associated with respective cosmetic products in real-time as the user holds the handheld makeup applicator device to the face, based on a location of the handheld makeup applicator device with respect to the facial features of the face, to apply one or more cosmetic products to the face to achieve the makeup look selected by the user.
Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) eyewear device is provided. The AR eyewear device may include one or more AR interfaces configured to superimpose text or images upon an FOV of one or more transparent components associated with a user's eyes; sensors configured to capture real-time data associated with the user's face; processors; and non-transitory computer-readable memories storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the processors to: receive an indication of a makeup look selected by the user; analyze the real-time data associated with the user's face in order to generate a three-dimensional map associated with the user's face; identify facial features on the three-dimensional map; and provide, via the AR interfaces, guidance associated with applying one or more cosmetic products to the user's facial features in order to achieve the makeup look selected by the user.
Abstract: Polypeptide cosmetic compositions may be useful for addressing skin conditions. Such skin conditions include loss of firmness, lines and wrinkles, and other age-related skin changes associated with the general degradation of the skin dermis, which are often characterized by collagen loss and structural disorganization. Cosmetic compositions may comprise a polypeptide, a first polypeptide activator comprising a guanine nucleotide, and a second polypeptide activator comprising succinic acid. Preferably, the polypeptide has about 5 amino acid residues or less, and more preferably, the polypeptide comprises a tripeptide having an amino acid sequence of Ser-Thr-Pro-NH2. Preferred polypeptides may promote stimulation of collagen production in skin cells to which the cosmetic compositions are applied.
Abstract: A fragrance composition is provided. The fragrance composition comprises one or more fragrance ingredients, at least one solubilizer, and acceptable carriers, and the composition is substantially free of ethanol. The composition is a perfume, perfume water, eau de toilette, eau de cologne, eau de parfum, fragrance mist, or air freshener. The composition may be personalized and may also provide a sensory experience.
