Abstract: An operating system determining system for determining an operating system installed on a terminal to which a peripheral device is connectable, the terminal being capable of having installed at least one operating system including a first operating system configured to, in response to receiving a first signal, transmitting a second signal, includes: a transmission controller configured to cause the peripheral device to automatically transmit the first signal to the terminal in response to the peripheral device being connected to the terminal (#3); a signal determiner configured to determine whether the terminal has transmitted the second signal (#4); and an operating system determiner configured to, in response to the signal determiner determining that the terminal has transmitted the second signal, determine that the terminal has the first operating system installed (#5).

The body case includes, at certain places a battery-side terminal that serves as an output terminal of the battery; and a battery-side connection part that is connectable to an electric equipment-side connection part of an electric equipment that operates by receiving power of the battery. The electric equipment-side connection part includes an equipment-side terminal that is electrically connectable to the battery-side terminal. The battery-side connection part includes, a battery-side slip-out prevention part for forming a slip-out prevention structure at a connection portion between the battery-side connection part and the equipment-side connection part; and a battery-side water-stop part for forming a water stop structure at the connection portion between the battery-side connection part and the equipment-side connection part.

Abstract: A moving position detector suitable for use as a lightweight, thin mouse. Rotations generated by virtue of frictional forces generated between a bottom of a rotating body and a floor surface are detected by a rotation detecting means as the number of rotations of a rotary encoder portion and converted into an output signal corresponding to the signal from the encoder portion for output to an output means for input into a computer. The rotating body has a pressurizing point for applying loads by gravity or a mechanical element to positions other than a center on the bottom in a direction normal to a moving direction of a mouse relative to the shaft.
