Publication number: 20100038824Abstract: Provided is a plaque and its method of manufacture, the plaque including a binding material and a reinforcing material that is molded into a controlled thickness. Also provided is a solder pallet utilizing the plaque in its manufacture. The plaque can be manufactured by forming a preform of the raw materials, optionally preheating the preform, molding the preform into a plaque of the desired thickness, and then cooling the plaque at an elevated temperature to maintain the flatness of the plaque without the need for sanding or otherwise machining the plaque to the desired size. The plaque can then be formed into the desired solder pallet by cutting the plaque to appropriate dimensions, if necessary, and adding holes and/or clips for use in a soldering process for soldering circuit boards, for example.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2009Publication date: February 18, 2010Applicant: ELECTROLOCK, INC.Inventor: Richard A. Patent number: 6827805Abstract: A method for producing an electrically conductive filler by placing a web of core material onto an interior surface of a web of conductive layer material. The webs of core material and conductive layer material are directed through a forming station for folding the conductive layer around the core. The filler having a substantially non-conductive core and a conductive layer. The conductive layer is wrapped around the core to form a closed loop thereby establishing conductivity from a bottom of the filler to a top of the filler by paths on each of two sides of the filler.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 2001Date of Patent: December 7, 2004Assignees: Electrolock, Inc., Siemens Westinghouse Power CorporationInventors: Rick L. Patent number: 6024131Abstract: A method of forming a flexible spiral-wound tube includes the steps of spiral wrapping at least two webs of material in an overlapping relationship about a mandrel to form a multi-ply tube and advancing the tube along the mandrel and off a reduced diameter portion of the mandrel at a forward end of the mandrel. Advancement of the tube along the mandrel includes rotating the tube as the tube longitudinally moves such that the tube advances in a spiral manner. The method further includes the step of retarding movement of the tube along the reduced diameter portion of the mandrel by providing frictional resistance between the tube and the mandrel to form folds or pleats in the tube so that the tube becomes extremely flexible. The flexible spiral-wound tube has a uniform pattern of generally diamond-shaped folds therein.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 1998Date of Patent: February 15, 2000Assignee: Electrolock, Inc.Inventors: Michael E. Patent number: 4819379Abstract: A locking apparatus for an electrically actuated garage door opener assembly is disclosed for preventing the unauthorized entry into a home or building. The locking apparatus comprises an electric solenoid and associated plunger and is electrically connected to the electrically actuated garage door opener in order to selective lock and unlock the garage door. In the deactivated condition of the opener, the plunger provides a locking mechanism. When the opener is activated, the solenoid is energized and the plunger is withdrawn from its locking position, thus permitting the door to open. An important feature of the present invention is a sensing mechanism which senses the locked and unlocked position of the solenoid plunger. If the plunger is in the locked position, the sensor will prevent actuation of the opener, thereby avoiding damage to the door or opener.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1987Date of Patent: April 11, 1989Assignee: Automatic Electrolock, Inc.Inventors: Joseph E.
