The opening can be sized to allow the appliance to project into the opening to increase the usable interior volume of the vehicle. A cover for closing the opening can include ventilating openings.

Abstract: An absorption refrigerator and a vehicle wherein the vehicle inside space is reliably sealed from an air duct servicing a gas burner for the absorption refrigerator. At least one cutout (28, 30) is provided at the housing edge between a housing top side (6) and a housing rear panel (8), the lines (10 through 24) passing through this cutout, from the housing top side (6) to the housing rear panel (8), without projecting above the housing at said edge (4). Accordingly the lines passing over the housing edge will not project above the housing dimensions at said edge because all lines in that zone run virtually inside the housing on account of said cutout.

Abstract: In a security lock, for doors of furniture in particular, like e.g. built-in furniture in caravans, which are exposed to substantial forces in case of accidents, an engagement part 2 of a spring-charged pivotable bolt 5 is provided for which with a head part 8 in case of interlocking interlocks in a recess 9 of a receiving member 4. Interlocking takes place between a housing-integrated bordering wall 10 of said recess 9 and a cam 12 pivotably supported in said receiving member 4. Said cam 12 comprises diametrically opposed end sections 13, 14 of which the free end section 13 not facing said head part 8 of said bolt 5 can cooperate with a pin member 15 provided for on said engagement part 2.

Abstract: In a cooling unit for an absorption circuit, an absorber, a generator, a condenser, and an evaporator are provided. The absorber is built by at least two mutually connected profiled plates which form lines and ports for connecting the generator to the evaporator. The lines are guided in a meander pattern and two adjacent lines are mutually connected through at least one opening. The absorber can be pivoted by an at least partial inclination of the lines with respect to horizon from a neutral position by an axis extending in parallel to the plate plane by more than 3.degree., preferably more than 6.degree., without the operation of the cooling unit being impeded by the rotation of the plates. This permits the cooling unit to be used on mobile vehicles and boats where frequent inclined positions occur.

Abstract: In a method for operating a refrigerating unit including an expeller, condenser, evaporator and absorber, with a solvent circulation, a working substance circulation and a by-gas circulation, the working substance ammonia is expelled from a rich ammonia solution with continuous supply of thermal energy and subsequently is liquefied by heat absorption, is evaporated with absorption of heat from a cooling chamber and is absorbed from the weak ammonia solution, regulation of the thermal energy required for expulsion being effected in dependance on temperature changes with relation to a given temperature of the cooling chamber with the aid of an electronical module using fuzzy logic rules.

Abstract: In a kitchen appliance including a refrigerator and a cooker 7 and being intended and suitable for installation in camping vehicles, boats and the like, the cooker 7 is fixedly mounted on the upper side of the refrigerator including at least one gas burner 8 and the relating fittings 12, while the cover plate 13 of the cooker 7 can be assembled and disassembled. The burner 8 and the thermosensors 26 of the cooker 7 are movable in height in limited manner for bearing on a relating opening in the cover plate 13 from bottom and for being connected or screwed, respectively, to a burner head to be put thereon from top. The construction permits simple and quick installation and removal of the refrigerator together with the cooker 7.

Abstract: The insert for a shelf in the inside door of a refrigerator comprises an angular part having a vertical and a horizontal plate and is preferably made of plastic material, which angular part is insertable into the shelf and connected with the inner surface thereof. A bar, which is known per se and has slidable sliders, is combined with the vertical plate of the insert. In either lateral flank of the vertical plate of the insert there is arranged a groove, and on either inner surface of the shelves there are arranged webs opposite to each other, which engage in the grooves when the insert is inserted in the shelf.

Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is a checking device for use in hotel refrigerators and other lockable self-service apparatuses. In order to be able to determine simply and quickly whether the apparatuses were opened and, if so, whether any of their contents were removed, an indicator means automatically actuated upon opening of the apparatus is installed in the interior of the apparatus so as to be safeguarded against unauthorized manipulation, the indicator means having an externally visible indicating element. The indicator means may be coupled with the door lock or with the handle of the apparatus and may include a slide which is actuated when the apparatus is opened and mechanically activates the externally visible indicating element.

Abstract: A motor-compressor for a refrigerator includes a housing containing a lubricant and a reciprocating compressor driven by a direct-current electric motor having a disc-shaped rotor and stator. The stator is located between magnetic flux closing discs of the rotor and carries electronically commutated drive coils. Goniometric indicators detect the position of the rotor and cause signals to be applied to an alternating current generator which modulates a bridge circuit to provide current flux for driving the rotor.
