Patent number: 4107482Abstract: A rotary plural contact switch in which a walking-beam-like conductor is incrementally moved to break electrical contact with stationary contacts. This movement is brought about by a revolvable cam rotor. The basic double-contact mechanical structure may be multiplied; thus, switching functions related to digital circuits can be performed. The switch is particularly adapted for small-size embodiments. The external portion of the contacts are spaced to enter an integrated circuit socket, or a printed circuit board having terminals spaced according to the standard grid.A tang on the internal portion of each contact is used to assemble the insulating enclosure of the switch by simple linear pressure upon the housing and the base parts of the enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1977Date of Patent: August 15, 1978Assignee: Electronic Engineering Co. of CaliforniaInventor: Harry Rudolph Marker

Patent number: 4055233Abstract: A self-forming ear plug element for use with a stethoscope type sound tube installation for transmitting audio sound to the ear and rejecting ambient noise. A conical portion having a sound-transmitting orifice enters the ear. A thin radially extensive shallow-conical acoustic flange extends outwardly from the major diameter part of the conical portion. Being soft, the flange easily conforms to the concha portion of the ear to increase the sound pressure level of the transmitted signal and to greatly attenuate ambient noise. A mounting horn for attaching the plug element to a stethoscope tube extends axially beyond the flange.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1975Date of Patent: October 25, 1977Assignee: Electronic Engineering Co. of CaliforniaInventor: Charles B. Patent number: 4055738Abstract: A mount for attaching a device such as a multiple switch within a hole in a panel. A first part has a lip for laying upon the front of the panel and also a pair of spaced hook arms. A second part is attached to the device behind the panel and has an opening for receiving the hook arms. These resiliently enter the opening in the second part and hold the device securely but removably to the panel. Screws or tools are not required. Deformable ears on the second part bear against the back of the panel to secure the assembly, and the ear structure accommodates a range of panel thicknesses.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1976Date of Patent: October 25, 1977Assignee: Electronic Engineering Co. of CaliforniaInventor: Herbert C. Patent number: 3944153Abstract: A spindle and latch combination for removably retaining a reel. Keys drive the reel. Oppositely, a slot in the spindle holds the latch and a spring there urges the latch against the reel. Engagement or disengagement of the reel and spindle by one hand is possible. The latch may be embodied to pivot inboard or outboard of the reel.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1975Date of Patent: March 16, 1976Assignee: Electronic Engineering Co. of CaliforniaInventor: Elliott C. Patent number: 3939333Abstract: The method of storing, without interruption, digital signals having asynchronous transitions and reproducing these digital signals upon an expanded time scale after the occurrence of a fault. The apparatus comprises an input counter, an output counter, an adder operated to subtract, and a latched gate by which the adder stops the output counter when the outputs of the two counters are equivalent. The least-significant-bit of the output counter comprises the output signal, which is stored in a register. A second register simultaneously stores an output from the adder which signifies that more than one pulse is stored in the input counter. After occurrence of a fault the data in the two registers are combined in a modulator for display on an oscilloscope. A complete unit typically includes several channels for simultaneous display; each channel including the apparatus described above.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1974Date of Patent: February 17, 1976Assignee: Electronic Engineering Co. of CaliforniaInventor: Eugene Elwin Keech
