Patents Assigned to Electronics and Telecommunications Research Insititute
  • Publication number: 20130181198
Abstract: Disclosed are polymers, optical films, organic electroluminescent devices, and methods of manufacturing the optical film. The polymer and the optical film according to the inventive concept may include a high refractive material chemically combined with a polymer matrix and a low refractive material chemically combined with the polymer matrix. The low refractive material has a lower refractive index than the high refractive material. Thus, the polymer and the optical film may function as a light scattering layer including the low and high refractive materials chemically combined with the polymer matrix, or a light scattering layer including a high refractive film and low refractive particles dispersed within the high refractive film.

  • Publication number: 20110018691
Abstract: Disclosed is an RFID interrogator having a collision type identification function and a control method thereof. It verifies whether or not a collision occurs in a received signal by analyzing data of a signal received from an RF communication unit and performs a corresponding collision resolution operation by diagnosing a collision type in accordance with a collision generation means between the corresponding RFID interrogator and other interrogators or a tag. Since all types of collisions that occur between the RFID interrogator and the tag can be identified, a reason for occurrence of the collisions can be rapidly recognized to cope with the reason for the collisions.

  • Publication number: 20080137960
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and method for detecting a horizon which is necessary to detect a camera movement when compositing sea images in a marker-free sea-image camera tracking system. In the method, an ROI is selected near a horizon in a still image of the moving image of the sea, and each maximum point corresponding to the maximum brightness difference is detected from brightness differences between two pixels of each pair having two symmetrical pixels in each column of the ROI. The horizon is detected through a line-fitting using the maximum points. Therefore, the result of horizon detection can be very stable and a horizon can be easily detected in a sea scene having hundreds of frames.

  • Patent number: 6124614
Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal silicon field effect transistor (MOSFET), and more particularly to a MOSFET, using a Si or SiGe channel to effectively adjust threshold voltage. The transistor according to the present invention can solve the problems, such as the punch-through caused by the short distance between the source region and the drain region, the decrease of the breakdown voltage between the source region and the drain region and the leakage current flowing into the bulk region beneath the channel due to the drain-induced barrier lowering. Furthermore, because the source region and the drain region are isolated from the semiconductor substrate by the lower insulation layer, the removal of the parasite junction capacitor speed up the transistor.
