Abstract: This motorized golf bag cart has a wheeled base which carries a battery and a battery-operated motor that drives the front wheels. A handle extends up from the base and is coupled to the base to pivot vertically on the base and to turn the motor and the front wheel axle in the base when the handle is displaced laterally. A rheostat for controlling the motor speed is mounted on the upper end of the handle and it is operated by a squeeze grip there through a mechanical coupling which has substantially no lost motion. This coupling may be a rack and gear or it may be a tensioned chain and gear.
