    Abstract: A method of transfer printing onto a receptor substrate (16), comprising at least partially covering a first transfer (13) with barrier means (15) located to come between the first transfer (13) and the receptor substrate (16) so that, where the barrier means (15) covers the first transfer (13), transfer material (6) is substantially prevented from being transferred from the first transfer (13) to the receptor substrate (16), and the barrier means (15) is sandwiched between the first transfer (13) and a second transfer (14).
