    Abstract: A hood for extracting cooking fumes may include: a base having an intake opening; a conduit connected to the base, with a discharge opening in fluid communication with the intake opening; and first and second suction units in the conduit to respectively generate first and second air flows that cross the conduit from the intake to the discharge openings. The first suction unit may be closer to the intake opening than the second suction unit. The first and second suction units may partially overlap along a transverse direction. The hood further may include separating members in the conduit to define first and second suction chambers, each in fluid communication with the intake and discharge openings. The first air flow may cross the first suction chamber from the intake to the discharge opening. The second air flow may cross the second suction chamber from the intake to the discharge opening.
