  • Patent number: 11051207
Abstract: A computer implemented method of balancing load in a cellular network including first cells with a first priority and second cells with a second priority. The method including: detecting a high load condition in a first cell; using a network model including signal level information on different geographical locations for different cells to find a second cell having at least partially overlapping service area with the first cell; using said network model and population data including information about number of users on different geographical locations to determine a value to a network parameter that has an effect on whether a user connects to the first cell or to the second cell; and conditionally taking the determined value of the network parameter in use in the cellular network to balance load between the first and the second cell in the overlapping service area.

  • Publication number: 20210176151
Abstract: A computer implemented method of network monitoring and control. The method includes identifying an alert related to a monitored device of a group of monitored devices; confirming that automatic actions are applicable for the monitored device; and performing at least one predefined automatic action for the monitored device, the action being selected based on the identified alert.

  • Patent number: 10972918
Abstract: A method for a mobile network, which mobile network is formed of cells. The method includes determining a weight factor between two cells of the mobile network, which determination of the weight factor includes calculating a distance factor between the cells, calculating an angle factor between the cells, and calculating the weight factor between the cells with an exponential function of the distance factor and the angle factor. The weight factors between the cells may be used for determining network parameters of a mobile network.

  • Patent number: 7826857
Abstract: A location of a subscriber can be observed by means of a mobile network in a completely anonymous way, without a subscriber identifier or a temporary subscriber identifier. At first, a method extracts from a first time slot of a radio channel a message which includes information about a second time slot of a radio channel. The first time slot of a radio channel discloses the current cell of the subscriber and the second time slot of a radio channel discloses a new cell of the subscriber. A location of the subscriber is determined on the basis of the current and the new cell. This location is approximately situated in a geographical intersection area of the current and the new cell. Different kinds of statistics can be deduced from the observations concerning activities of subscribers.

  • Patent number: 7142977
Abstract: The invention relates to collecting of traffic data with the aid of a mobile station network. Such areas are determined in the mobile station network, wherein the terminal equipment communicates with the network with the aid of one or more predetermined messages. Based on the message between the network and terminal equipment and relating to a first area a first time by the clock is stored, and based on the message between the network and the same terminal equipment and relating to a second area a second time by the clock is stored. The times by the clock are used in order to obtain traffic data by calculating, for example, the time spent on moving from one area to another. By determining the distance between areas along the road it is possible also to determine the speed of the vehicle. Information may also be collected to form a statistic distribution.
