Patent number: 7386914Abstract: A drywall edge shaping tool for cleaning and shaping bullnose corners is made out of aluminum flat stock. The tool has two shaping heads, one at each end, each shaping head having a concave shaping surface that is tilted at approximately forty-five degrees from the center line of the tool. The shaping edge of each shaping surface may be sized differently to accommodate different size bullnose corners. A putty knife cleaning groove is located behind each shaping head of the tool.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2006Date of Patent: June 17, 2008Assignee: Elixir IndustriesInventor: Donald B. Cruzan

Patent number: 5054377Abstract: A recreational vehicle vent (14,16) is formed of a streamlined body (12) having a forward fixed riser (14) and a movable cover (16) which, when closed, forms a smooth continuous aerodynamic surface together with the fixed riser. The cover is movably mounted to the vent frame by means of a pair of transversely extending crossed links (140,142) at the front and a second independent pair of transversely extending crossed links (200,202) at the back. The two link pairs are independently operated by geared actuators (180,206) so that either the front of the cover or the back of the cover can be independently lifted or both can be lifted together.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1990Date of Patent: October 8, 1991Assignee: Elixir IndustriesInventors: Paul J. Patent number: 4966378Abstract: A stone shield adjustably attachable to the rear bumper of a pick-up truck extends substantially across the vehicle for protection of a load being towed. The stone shield is mounted to the bumper by brackets that may be adjustably positioned forwardly or rearwardly to allow proper positioning of the shield in the space ahead of the rear bumper and to facilitate alignment of hinge clips for the shield.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 1989Date of Patent: October 30, 1990Assignee: Elixir IndustriesInventor: Donald W. Patent number: 4201122Abstract: A vehicle ventilation opening is covered by a dome-shaped cover that has a pair of generally triangular oppositely disposed lateral cover openings extending from an uppermost portion of the cover. A pair of generally triangular shaped and outwardly bowed resilient doors are pivoted at opposite sides of the cover so that their adjacent but mutually spaced free end portions move between an inwardly displaced open position and a closed position wherein the free ends of the doors are at the high point of the domed cover and the doors seal against the inside of the cover at the peripheries of the openings.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1978Date of Patent: May 6, 1980Assignee: Elixir IndustriesInventor: Edmund D. Maciag

Patent number: 4055917Abstract: An inwardly swinging door is provided with a threshhold assembly that effectively seals against entry of driven water and air. The threshhold assembly includes a sloping subpan having an upstanding rear wall. An integral outer threshhold member and upper pan are connected to and above the subpan. The upper pan provides a primary seal at the front edge of the door bottom and defines a primary sill floor that cooperates with the flexible wiper blades carried by the door bottom to define secondary barriers. The inner side of the door bottom carries a final seal which bars entry of air that may be driven through drainage holes provided in the subpan and interconnecting the interior of the subpan with the interior of the upper pan.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1975Date of Patent: November 1, 1977Assignee: Elixir IndustriesInventor: John Coller

Patent number: 4038911Abstract: A multi-directional vent for the ventilation opening of a vehicle includes a vent frame having a vent cover pivoted at its front side to the frame and having an air intake opening in the front of the vent cover. A door is pivoted to the vent cover to selectively close or open the vent cover intake opening. Gear and bell crank operators are provided to pivot the cover about its hinge connection to the frame and to pivot the door about its hinge connection to the cover. The frame is screened and the operators extend through the screen to enable operation from inside the vehicle. With the door open and the vent cover closed a conventional scoop type operation is provided. With the door closed and the vent cover open a conventional pivoted ventilation operation is provided. With both the door and vent cover open ventilation is provided in all directions when the vehicle is at rest, and when in motion a venturi effect is achieved to extract air from the interior of the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 1975Date of Patent: August 2, 1977Assignee: Elixir IndustriesInventor: Arthur C. Patent number: 3951444Abstract: A retainer cylinder is rotatably mounted in the bore of a housing cylinder and selectively latched against rotation by means of a resilient latching assembly. The housing cylinder is formed with a longitudinally extending groove and a corresponding recess is formed in the retainer cylinder. In one arrangement, the resilient latching assembly comprises a flat spring captured in the housing cylinder groove and having an intermediate portion resiliently urged into the retainer cylinder recess. A dog slidably mounted in the recess is cammed by a key to force the spring element from the recess and allow rotation of the retainer cylinder. In a second arrangement, the same housing cylinder allows for handle operation of a retainer cylinder wherein the latching assembly comprises a cam pin resiliently mounted in the retainer cylinder recess.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 1974Date of Patent: April 20, 1976Assignee: Elixir IndustriesInventor: Paul H.
