Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing long playback of short recordings are disclosed. An example method includes recording audio for a time period that is less than a maximum recording time, receiving an indication that the audio is to be played back, playing the audio back for a duration corresponding to the time period, determining the audio is to be repeated, and responsive to determining that the audio is to be repeated, at the end of the time period duration, playing the audio back multiple times for a preset time or preset number of repetitions.
