Abstract: In a process for loading firmware via a hub into a group of interconnected control devices, a set of communication frames is transmitted by the hub and addressed to at least one of the control devices in the group for reaching all of the interconnected control devices therein. First and second inquiries regarding validity and invalidity respectively of the set of frames are sent collectively to the group, and based on replies from any of the control devices that have received at least one of the inquiries, the set of frames is re-transmitted or a successive set of frames is transmitted or loading of the firmware is aborted, the process being repeating all portions of the firmware are loaded.

Abstract: There is provided a lighting device for illuminating objects inside an enclosure including a housing, an array of light emitting diodes enclosed by the housing consisting of at least two groups of diodes, one group emitting substantially white light and one group emitting colored light, a DC to DC converter feeding the light-emitting diodes and enclosed by the housing, and a light intensity controller for operating each of the groups of diodes at variable light intensities.

Abstract: There is provided a process for operating a switch mode power supply circuit (Switcher) connectable to a load, the circuit having a first buck switch, a second boost switch and an inductor in a buck boost circuit, the process including applying input voltage to the circuit, selectively activating each of the buck switch and boost switch, and selectively limiting the ON-time of the buck switch, for accelerating discharge of the inductor.

Abstract: There is provided a process for operating a High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamp, having stable and transient operating phases, by a digitally controlled circuit that includes a DC supply and an inverter. During the stable operating phase of the lamp, the inverter's input DC voltage is maintained at a value depending on the lamp voltage.
