Patents Assigned to Eltromat GmbH
  • Patent number: 9358815
Abstract: An arrangement for capturing an image of a printing substrate web in a printing machine, includes a camera that has a sensor field extending parallel to the printing substrate web, and an objective lens an optical axis of which runs at right angles to the sensor field, a light source that is arranged relative to the printing substrate web such that the light emitted therefrom is reflected by reflective surface portions of the printing substrate web mainly into the camera, and the objective lens is arranged to be offset from the sensor field such that a straight line extending through the center of the sensor field and the center of the objective lens and a straight line extending from the center of the light source to the center of the light incident on the image field on the printing substrate web form equal angles with the axis of incidence.

  • Patent number: 8817091
Abstract: Apparatus for monitoring a print result in a rotary printing press, includes a web monitoring system including a matrix camera (20) that is movable in transverse direction over a web printed in the printing press, the matrix camera being adapted to capture an excerpt of the printed image in synchronism with a repeat of the printed image during a print run, an inspection system for a complete inspection of the printed image, the inspection system including a line camera that extends over the entire widths of the web, and an integrated control desk for the web monitoring system and the inspection system.

  • Publication number: 20070266874
Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for optimally adjusting a printing press having multiple printing units. In one example, for each printing unit, relative positions are calculated between an anilox roll and a form cylinder that form a first cylinder pair and between the form cylinder and an impression cylinder that form a second cylinder pair. Calculations based on colour selective detection of printing marks are performed to identify adjustment parameters for the relative positions of the first and second cylinder pairs, and one or more of the relative positions are adjusted.

  • Patent number: 7219606
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for measuring, setting and controlling longitudinal and lateral register as well as parallelness of the printing register in a multicolor printing machine. To reduce waste, the longitudinal and circumferential register is sensed on a print web (D) at one side and parallelness of the print images among one another is determined at the opposite other side. To this end an independent second measuring device is preferably used. The data obtained are used for automatically controlling the printing register in lateral and circumferential direction as well as print parallelness.

  • Publication number: 20050200862
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling objects in synchronicity with a moving material web comprising the following method steps: Printing a mark pattern onto the material web, the mark pattern consisting of elements having different brightness values and/or color contrasts and being arranged one behind the other in the web travel direction; detecting the differences in brightness and/or color contrast existing as a result of the printed mark pattern in the web travel direction for the purpose of identification; comparing the mark pattern that is printed on the material web and is detected to a predetermined mark pattern; and emitting a control signal according to the result of the comparison carried out.
