  • Patent number: 11894350
Abstract: A microLED mass transfer stamping system includes a stamp substrate with an array of trap sites, each configured with a columnar-shaped recess to temporarily secure a keel extended from a bottom surface of a microLED. In the case of surface mount microLEDs, the keel is electrically nonconductive. In the case of vertical microLEDs, the keel is an electrically conductive second electrode. The stamping system also includes a fluidic assembly carrier substrate with an array of wells having a pitch separating adjacent wells that matches the pitch separating the stamp substrate trap sites. A display substrate includes an array of microLED pads with the same pitch as the trap sites. The stamp substrate top surface is pressed against the display substrate, with each trap site interfacing a corresponding microLED site, and the microLEDs are transferred. Fluidic assembly stamp substrates are also presented for use with microLEDs having keels or axial leads.

  • Patent number: 5875376
Abstract: A carriage positioning structure includes a carriage pivoted to a longitudinal guide rod and reciprocated along a longitudinal sliding rail inside a scanner between a bottom shell and a flat glass plate, an image pick-up mechanism carried on the carriage and moved with the carriage to pick up the image of an object placed on the flat glass plate, a bottom guide wheel mounted on the carriage at the bottom and supported on the longitudinal sliding rail to guide reciprocating movement of the carriage along the longitudinal sliding rail, and a top guide wheel mounted on the carriage at the top and spaced below the flat glass plate by a gap, the top guide wheel being forced into contact with the flat glass plate by the gravity weight of the carriage when the scanner is turned upside down, permitting the carriage to be reciprocated on the flat glass plate along the longitudinal guide rod so that the image pick-up mechanism can pick up the image of a 3-D document placed below the scanner.

  • Patent number: 5757558
Abstract: The optical unit of an imaging system is disposed between a target object and an image plane, and permits the passage of cones of light from different point sources on the target object therethrough to form an image on the image plane. The optical unit is provided with an aperture stop to control sizes of the cones of light passing through the optical unit. The aperture stop forms an entrance pupil in relation to the optical unit. A rectifying mask, which is formed as an upright opaque plate, is disposed between the target object and the image plane. The aperture stop forms a corresponding aperture stop image on a plane of the rectifying mask, and the rectifying mask has a mask width which is narrower than the width of the corresponding aperture stop image, and a mask height which is greater than the mask width.
