  • Patent number: 11428238
Abstract: A diagonal fan having an electric motor, a housing and a diagonal impeller generating a diagonal flow which is deflected into an axial flow direction. The diagonal impeller has impeller blades, an air inlet and an air outlet, wherein the housing forms a flow channel for an airflow generated by the diagonal impeller, which has a non-rotationally symmetric axial section and a cylindrical axial section axially directly adjacent, as seen in the flow direction, wherein an air outlet-side radial outer end of the diagonal impeller is arranged in the cylindrical axial section of the flow channel of the housing and an air gap is provided between the radial outer end and the housing, and wherein the non-rotationally symmetric axial section of the flow channel is arranged in a region of the flow channel which is adjacent to the air-inlet side of the air gap in an axial plane with the diagonal impeller.

  • Patent number: 10393138
Abstract: The invention relates to a blade for a fan impeller. In particular, the invention relates to the geometric configuration of the blade in its end area facing a hub. Furthermore, the invention relates to a fan impeller. A blade according to the invention for a fan impeller has an end area facing a hub, whereby the blade has at least one rib in the end area facing the hub, whereby the rib has an outer contour that simulates a flow profile.

  • Patent number: 9909423
Abstract: The invention relates to a drum rotor wheel for a fan having bulges to accommodate balancing weights. A drum rotor wheel according to the invention has several blades that are curved forward. The blades have a leading edge and a trailing edge. A top disc and a bottom disc are provided on the drum rotor wheel. At least one blade of the drum rotor wheel has a bulge on its leading edge. This bulge minimizes the area of flow separation, as a result of which the magnitude of the flow separation is likewise minimized. In other words, due to the bulge, the efficiency of the drum rotor wheel is increased.

Abstract: The invention relates to an impeller (1) for a fan, in particular an axial or radial fan having a hub (2) for connecting the impeller (1) to a drive motor and having fan blades (6) which are arranged circumferentially around the hub (2) and having pockets (9) in the hub region, having balance weights (15) which can be fastened therein, aligned in the axial direction. The balance weights (15) are made of U-shaped, bent weight clips made of spring-elastic material, having at least two opposite clip legs extending parallel to each other which are connected to each other via a bend section, and comprise a clamping gap between the clip legs. One of the clip legs extends within the pockets (9) and the other clip leg extends outside of the pockets (9), such that there is a clamping seat on a pocket wall (12) extending in the clamping gap.

  • Patent number: 8932019
Abstract: A fan wheel (1) is designed as a radial or diagonal fan, comprising a top plate (2) with an inlet port (4), a base plate (6) and a plurality of fan blades (8) distributed around the inlet port (4) and around an axis of rotation (Z). Blade ducts extend (10) respectively between the adjacent fan blades (8). The blade ducts lead radially or diagonally outward from the area of the inlet port (4) and form blow-out ports in the outer region. The blade ducts (10) are designed, with respect to their effective flow cross-section, as large enough that during operation, a turbulent flow with a Reynolds number markedly greater than 2300 is achieved. The top plate (2) or the base plate (6) or both feature a rotationally asymmetrical geometry with a continuous profile, at least in angular sections encompassing the fan blades (8).

  • Patent number: 8807949
Abstract: A radial fan wheel arrangement includes a circular bottom plate (2) and a circular cover plate (3) with a central inflow opening (4), as well as wheel blades (6) running between the bottom plate (2) and the cover plate (3). Pocket-shaped recesses (9) are configured at least on one side of a plate surface in the space between the wheel blades (6) in an outer edge area of the cover plate (3) or the bottom plate (2) or both. At least one counterweight (13) is mounted on at least one of the two plates (2, 3) on a plate edge in an area of the pocket-shaped recesses (9).

  • Publication number: 20140086728
Abstract: A diffuser (3) for a fan (2) of axial, radial or diagonal type of construction, has an inlet opening (10) and having an outlet opening (20) for a gaseous medium which flows through a diffuser interior (I), which is enclosed by an outer housing (30), in an axially oriented main flow direction (S) from the inlet opening (10) to the outlet opening (20). The cross section of the diffuser interior (I) increases from the cross section (11) of the inlet opening to the cross section (21) of the outlet opening (20), wherein the outer housing (30) forms an outer diffuser part (AD) which delimits the diffuser interior (I) to the outside. Along the main flow direction (S), the cross section of the outer diffuser part (AD) changes from a circular cross section (31) at the inlet opening (10) to a non-circular cross section (32) at the outlet opening (20).
