Abstract: Virtual machines are launched in a public cloud software marketplace by a user purchasing a software product. The virtual machines are automatically provisioned and configured upon launching. One virtual machine generates a public/private key pair, and key-based SSH communications is securely established between the virtual machines without the necessity of insecurely transferring the private key over an insecure public communications channel.

Abstract: One or more proxy logs are processed in order to generate a graph of domains, wherein those domain pairs in the graph that are connected have low support and high confidence. One or more domains within the graph that are highly connected to other domains in the graph are identified. The identified domains are flagged as suspicious domains.

Abstract: A slider arm assembly for a cable carrier of multiple electrical cables connected to rack-mounted electronics equipment includes a slider arm having a base disposed for sliding movement within a channel of a slider arm guide connected to the vertical rail of an equipment rack, and a latch for releasably connecting the slider arm to the slider arm guide at different locations. The slider arm guide channel is C-shaped and has a plurality of notched in a sidewall of the channel, and the slider arm has a releasable latch thereon that that cooperates with the notches to connect the slider arm to the slider arm guide at a predetermined location. The slider arm is slideable within the channel to locate the cable carrier appropriately to align the cables carried in the cable carrier with I/O ports of the electronics equipment, and to move the cable carrier for easy access to the electronics equipment mounted in the rack.

Abstract: A system for sending a command stream comprises a first input interface, a processor, and an output interface. The first input interface is configured to receive a call. The processor is configured to determine one or more packets for the call. The one or more packets are able to be reassembled to form the call. The processor is configured to assign a first packet of the one or more packets to a first output queue and assign the second packet to a second output queue in the event there is a second packet of the one or more packets for the call. The output interface configured to send the first packet from the first output queue.

Abstract: Virtual machine capacity planning techniques are disclosed. In various embodiments, a set of time series data is constructed based at least in part on virtual machine related metric values observed with respect to a virtual machine during a training period. The constructed time series data is used to build a forecast model for the virtual machine. The forecast model is used to forecast future values for one or more of the virtual machine related metrics. The forecasted future values are used to determine whether an alert condition is predicted to be met.

Abstract: A communication technique which includes determining, at least in part by comparing data associated with a packet that has been pulled from a received packet queue with a highest sequence number among packets that have been placed in the received packet queue, that the received packet queue has space available to receive a further packet. A receiver with which the received packet queue is associated is sent, based at least in part on the determination, a next packet.

Abstract: Resources are optimized in an integrated data protection system having a production host, primary storage and a backup appliance for backup and restore of lost data to a selected restore point. Data tracks in primary storage having changed data are pushed to backup storage with a changed-tracks bitmap mapping the changed tracks. A selected restore capacity is reserved on a restore device, but the restore device is only provisioned for a capacity sufficient to store changed tracks corresponding to the selected restore point, thus obviating the creation and storing of metadata for the unprovisioned capacity. This conserves significant storage and memory capacity and reduces processing requirements.

Abstract: A first and a second catalog access statement are obtained. For the first catalog access statement, a first lock schedule which includes a catalog resource being locked and a lock strength is obtained. For the second catalog access statement, a second lock schedule which includes a catalog resource being locked and a lock strength are obtained. A potential deadlock between the first and the second catalog access statement is identified, including by comparing the first lock schedule and the second lock schedule.

Abstract: Techniques to reduce false positives in detecting anomalous use of resources are disclosed. In various embodiments, resource access data indicating for each resource in a set of resources respective usage data for each of one or more users of the resource is received. Cluster analysis is performed to determine one or more clusters of users. For each cluster, a set of recommended resources to be associated with the cluster is determined. For each of at least a subset of users, a temporal behavior based model for each user that reflects one or more resources included in the set of recommended resources associated with a corresponding cluster of which the user is a member is generated.

Abstract: A non-volatile memory has multi-level arrays of write-in place memory cells that are subject to change over time because of read and write disturbs. Disturb count counters of each read cell and each cell surrounding a written target cell are incremented by different scaling factors that reflect the effect of the disturbs on each such cell. Upon a counter reaching a predetermined threshold, a refresh of the cell is initiated.

Abstract: A cable assembly for organizing and managing multiple electrical cables connected to rack-mounted electronics equipment includes a pair of individually movable cable carriers, each comprising a pair of slider arms slideably disposed in corresponding slider arm guide channels connected to the vertical rails of an equipment rack, a crossbar connected between the slider arms, and a plurality of cable clips carried on the crossbar. The cable clips each comprise a plurality of parallel slots for securely capturing and holding cables in parallel order aligned with corresponding I/O ports on the electronics equipment. The slider arm guides have a plurality of detents and the slider arms have a releasable latch that cooperates with the detents to enable the cable carrier to be moved vertically for easy access to the electronics for maintenance.

Abstract: Techniques to facilitate software development are disclosed. In various embodiments, an indication is received that a software development project event has occurred. One or more rules are applied to determine one of more of a notification to be sent in response to the event, a recipient to receive the notification, and a communication channel to be used to send the communication. The notification is generated and sent to the recipient via the communication channel.

Abstract: A method of monitoring and managing a storage device to detect a fault in a storage group, the storage device having a plurality of storage groups and a plurality of responsible users, and communicating causes of the fault and likely solutions to one or more responsible users, each having an assigned wireless mobile device. Upon a fault occurring, an appropriate responsible user is identifying for the storage group based upon the particular nature of the fault. Following authentication of the storage group, error codes and fault information are transmitted to the wireless mobile device and to a knowledge base which returns to the mobile device information as to possible causes for and solutions to correct the fault.
