Abstract: A loading arm includes a stand pipe, a coupler configured to be connected to a tank to deliver a product, and a pipe assembly having a first pipe end pivotally coupled to the stand pipe and a second pipe end pivotally connected to the coupler. The pipe assembly includes a pivot joint disposed between the first pipe end and the second pipe end such that the pipe assembly is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. A linkage assembly has a first portion connected to the pivot joint and a second portion connected to the stand pipe. The linkage assembly is operable to allow for the positioning of the coupler at any of a plurality of points corresponding to the pipe assembly being positioned between the retracted position and the extended position. The linkage assembly is fully supported by the stand pipe such that movement of the pipe assembly does not require manipulating the weight of the linkage assembly.

Abstract: A vapor plate for covering a manhole of a cargo transport tanker includes a plate member and one or more push rod assemblies. Each push rod assembly includes a guide tube extending through the plate member and a push rod extending through the guide member. A rod of the push rod moves linearly and rotationally within the guide tube. An adjustable collar of a resistance mechanism may be fixed to the rod so that the collar engages a spring allowing a user to generate a resistive clamping force by pushing downward on the push rod. A user may clamp the rim of a manhole between a lower handle of the push rod and the plate member with the resistive force by positioning the lower handle underneath the rim after generating the resistance force. The push rod assembly is sealed to prevent vapor leakage.

Abstract: A coupling has a housing which defines a vacuum chamber and, at least in part, a nozzle chamber. The nozzle chamber forms a valve chamber, an intake chamber, and an outlet chamber. A main valve is in the valve chamber. The main valve is movable between an open and closed position. A poppet valve is in the outlet chamber. An air outlet opens from the vacuum chamber into the nozzle chamber. An opening of an air uptake conduit opens into the vacuum chamber. The air outlet opening is distinct from the opening of the uptake conduit. When the main valve is in the open position the valve chamber is open to the outlet chamber and the outlet chamber is open to the intake chamber. In the closed position, the valve chamber is sealed off from the outlet chamber and the intake chamber is sealed off from the outlet chamber.
