Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods directed to managing health care information and delivery of health care services by maintaining a set of workflows for processing of health care information or managing the delivery of the health care services according to different modes of operation, e.g., a base operation mode and a revenue generation mode. A set of reference data and a set of rules applicable to the set of health care information or the delivery of the one or more health care service can also be maintained. When health care transaction information is received from one or more parties, e.g., a patient, a health care provider, a pharmacy, or a payer, one or more of the workflows can be executed to process the received health care transaction information based on the set of reference data and the set of rules.
