Abstract: A welding device includes a holder for a weld part (1) adapted to be moved substantially perpendicularly to, and away from, a surface of a workpiece (2) on which the weld part (1) is to be welded. An arc producing system produces an arc between the weld part (1) and the surface of the workpiece (2) with the arc generating a magnetic flux. A field former (3) includes a low-retentivity steel and provides a flux path for the magnetic flux generated by the arc.
Abstract: A side visor fastener (1) includes a retainer (25) to be fixed to a mounting portion (11) of a frame (3), and an interconnected receiver clip element (26) and pin clip element (27) with the combination used to fasten a side visor (1) to a door frame (3). The receiver clip element (26) disposed on the rear side of the side visor (1), and a pin clip element (27) to be inserted from the front side of the side visor (1) into the receiver clip element (26) through the side visor (1) so as to engage with the receiver clip element (26). The receiver clip element (26) is hingedly connected with the retainer (25) through a shaft (29) and a bearing (30) in a swingable manner in response to the inclination of the side visor (1) with respect to the frame (3), and the receiver clip element (26) serves as a portion of the fastener (1) and extends from the retainer (25) to support the side visor (1).
Abstract: Described herein is a nitrogn strengthened stainless steel fastener insert and nut assembly which is resistant to galling when used in a fastener assembly. In addition to reduced galling, the fastener insert exhibits good corrosion resistance and a yield strength which is almost twice that of fasteners formed from 304 type stainless steel.

Abstract: A molding fastener assembly 1 to connect a molding to a vehicle body. The molding fastener assembly 1 having a clip 3 including a base 25 and a molding holder 26 integrated with the base, and a blind rivet 2 including a rivet body 11 having a flange 10 at one end thereof and a mandrel 13 extending through the rivet body beyond the flange from the other end thereof opposite to the flange. The rivet body 11 is covered with a tubular resin cap 5 extending from the tip end of the rivet body toward the flange. The resin cap 5 is formed with a first flange 21 at a position spaced apart from the rivet body flange 10 toward the one end of the rivet body by a predetermined distance equal to or more than the thickness of the clip base 25. The mandrel is adapted to be pulled off to secure the rivet body with the resin cap to a vehicle body while keeping the resin cap flange in contact with the vehicle body and keeping the rivet body flange at the predetermined distance from the vehicle body.
