Abstract: A method is provided for heating an electrically conductive fluid, including steps of: (i) circulating the fluid in a circuit from an inlet to an outlet, through an inlet path of the circuit in which the fluid flows in a first average direction and an outlet path of the circuit in which the fluid flows in a second average direction substantially opposite to the first direction; (ii) subjecting the fluid to a specific ohmic heating while the fluid flows through the outlet path; and (iii) transferring heat from the fluid flowing through the outlet path to the fluid flowing through the inlet path by thermal conduction through an at least partially first electrically insulated partition wall. An associated heating device is also provided.
