Abstract: A water reservoir and electrolysis cell combination that has a flow connection between a lower fluid port of the water reservoir and an upper fluid port of the electrolysis cell. The flow connection includes a first conduit with an inner bore which serves as a first flow path for the flow of water by force of gravity from the water reservoir to an outlet for the first conduit positioned within the electrolysis cell. The second conduit is concentric to the first conduit and defines an annular space between the outer surface of the first conduit and the inner surface of the second conduit which serves as a second flow path for an upward flow of gas from the electrolysis cell to the water reservoir.
Abstract: A high efficiency electrode consisting of an electrode plate having a top and a bottom. At least one saw-tooth opening is provided in the electrode plate. Each saw-tooth opening has a plurality of teeth extending upwardly toward the top of the electrode plate, the teeth being separated by v-shaped gaps. Bubbles travel quickly up the angled upslope of the teeth and are released when they reach an apex of each of the teeth.
Abstract: A method and associated apparatus are described for addressing blow-back when a hydrogen generator is attached to a combustion engine to enhance performance. The method involves positioning a filter with a porous flame tolerant core upstream of the combustion engine on a supply line leading from the hydrogen generator to the combustion engine. The method also involves surrounding the porous flame tolerant core with a hydrophilic filter medium. The hydrophilic filter medium serves as a trap for water vapor passing through the filter in a first direction and the hydrophilic filter medium moistened by water vapor assists in retarding flames passing through the filter in a second direction.
