Abstract: The present invention discloses a quadri-filar helix antenna structure, which comprises a cylindrical body made of a dielectric material with a relative dielectric constant ?r greater than 4, and four radiating metal plates disposed on a distal end surface of the cylindrical body and extended along the radial direction of the center of the cylindrical body to its periphery and then along the radial direction in a spiral course on the circumferential surface thereof to its periphery on the other end respectively, wherein the ends of every two adjacent radiating metal plates are coupled with each other to constitute two sets of antenna structures, a penetrating hole is disposed at the central position of the cylindrical body and is precisely embedded into a coaxial cable, and a shield cable disposed at the periphery on one end of the coaxial cable is coupled to an end of another set of antenna structure. Therefore, the antenna not only reduces the overall volume, but also greatly lowers its production costs.

  • Publication number: 20060033665
Abstract: The present invention is to provide an arrangement for giving a planar antenna added strength in construction, which comprises a grounded metal element on bottom of a dielectric substrate of the planar antenna and a curved radiating metal member above the dielectric substrate including two integral radial supports bent and extended downward, wherein one support has one end electrically connected to circuitry in the dielectric substrate for serving as a feed point, and the other support has one end passed the dielectric substrate to connect to the grounded metal element for serving as a ground terminal, so as to prevent the planar antenna from being easily deformed.

  • Patent number: 6956529
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a disk-shaped antenna comprising a ring-shaped metal loop and a ground metal face respectively on top and bottom of a substrate, wherein a center hole is provided in each of the substrate and the ground metal face, a central conductor of a coaxial is inserted through the holes and connected to at least one rotatable metal band on the top of the substrate, two ends of the metal band are adapted to contact the metal loop, and braided outside conductor of the coaxial contacts the ground metal face. Thus, an angle between two metal bands is adapted to change by rotating one about the other for adjusting current loop and potential difference in an electric field perpendicular to the plane of the metal loop, thereby controlling the spiral of electromagnetic wave transmitted from the disk-shaped antenna.

  • Patent number: 6229488
Abstract: An antenna for receiving signals from GPS and GSM comprises a cylindrical body formed of dielectric material, an axial central through hole, a first conductor layer coated on the bore of the through hole, a ground conductor layer coated on the bottom of the body being in contact with the first conductor layer, an insulator fitted into the through hole, a feeding pin provided in the center of the insulator with both ends extended above the top and the bottom of the body wherein the end atop the body being attached to a helical antenna, and a patch antenna formed on the circumferential surface of the body such that the antenna can receive signals from GPS and GSM respectively. This greatly reduces the size of antenna as well as reduces the manufacturing and transporting costs.
