  • Patent number: 6343011
Abstract: A screwless wind conduit positioning device serves to position a wind conduit to a rear plate of a computer mainframe. The wind conduit is a curved tube having a heat dissipating fan at its lateral side. A front surface the wind conduit are formed with a plurality of tenons and hooks which are arranged at opposite sides. The rear plate of the computer mainframe has a thin plate on the surface thereof. The thin plate has a section with a plurality of wind vents arranged like the net. The periphery of the wind vents are installed with a plurality of engaging holes for being engaged with the tenons of the wind conduit. The hooks on the front surface of the wind conduit slide in a bank of wind vents on the section of the thin plate for being retained therein. Therefore, the wind conduit can be fixed to the rear plate of a computer mainframe without using any tool. Then a lateral plate with a folding plate is hooked to the rear plate, and then screws serve to fix the lateral plate to the rear plate.

Abstract: An electrical enclosure having an improved sealing and shielding component and a method of manufacturing such an enclosure is provided. In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, a wire mesh is positioned against the surface of the enclosure. While the wire mesh is being positioned against the enclosure surface, a foam is formed on the enclosure surface adjacent the wire mesh. The foam generally adheres to the enclosure surface and holds the wire mesh in place. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, the foam has a height equal to or greater than the height of the wire mesh. The improved sealing and shielding components can, for example, improve the sealing and shielding of the electrical enclosure as compared to conventional electrical enclosures. The present electrical enclosure may, for example, also reduce the cost of manufacturing electrical enclosures.

  • Patent number: 6216746
Abstract: A lay-in wireway includes channel members connected in an end-to-end configuration to form an enclosed rectangular channel. Covers hingedly connect to a flange extending from one side of the wireway. Hinges are then formed with the cover member and act as a stop to hold the cover member at an open position. Channel members connect with a hook and slot arrangement which slide relative toward one another at an end connector portion. Hooks and slots provide self-alignment of connected channel members when slid into position.

  • Patent number: 6174189
Abstract: A fixing device for interface cards includes a seat. A plurality of spacers are installed on one surface of the seat. Several teeth are mounted on the top end of the spacer, while the lower portion thereof is formed with a holding device. Furthermore, a sliding block is slidably engaged on the top portion of the spacer. The sliding block is formed with teeth corresponding to the teeth of the spacer. The fixing device can be mounted in the casing of a computer mainframe in correspondence with the circuit board inserting slot within a computer mainframe. Accordingly, when an interface card is required to be inserted into the computer, the sliding block is moved upwards. Then, the interface card is passed into the holding device, and then is inserted into the inserting slot of the main circuit board. Thereafter, the sliding block is moved downwards to rest against the top end of the interface card to fully fix the interface card.

  • Patent number: 6155920
Abstract: An air duct of a radiating fan having an air duct body and guide plates installed within the air duct body. A plurality of positioning holes with special arrangement are installed on the periphery of the wind outlet of air duct body. The front and rear sides of the guide plate are installed with pivotal pins. Thereby, the guide plate can be buckled to respective positioning holes so to form different angles with the air duct body. Therefore, the orientation and size of the channel of air flow is changed. As consequence, the guide plates can be installed on the wind outlet of the radiating fan of an electronic device and the airflow actually attains the predetermined place and the heat dissipating efficiency is increased.
