    Abstract: A surgical endo-probe particularly adapted for use in ophthalmological surgery includes a probe connected distally of a hand piece. Within the probe, there are at least two optical fibers. The first optical fiber constitute an illumination zone for illuminating the tissue to be operated on. A laser fiber provides pulses of laser energy to the tissue illuminated by the illumination fibers. The illumination zone can be a single fiber or a plurality of fibers.
