Abstract: A method of operating a door system includes receiving a signal from a pressure sensor disposed in a sill or a frame of the door system, authenticating the user after receiving the signal, shifting the lock from a locked configured to an unlocked configuration in response to receiving the signal after authenticating the user, and moving the door panel from a closed position to an ajar position in response to receiving the signal.

Abstract: A method of operating a door system includes sensing a user on an exterior side of a door panel in physical propinquity to the lock such that the lock transitions from a sleep state to an active state, authenticating the user when the lock is in the active state before converting the lock from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration, and converting the lock from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration in response to transition to the active state. Authenticating the user includes receiving an authentication signal from a remote device on the user in physical propinquity to the to the lock.

Abstract: A multipoint lock for securing a door panel is described. The multipoint lock includes a first latch, a second latch, a first hub rotatable with at least one of a thumb-turn knob or a key, and a second hub rotatable with a handle lever. Upward rotation of the handle lever causes both rotation of the first hub and rotation of the second hub in the same rotational direction.

The invention may also be considered a frame member. The frame member may be a mullion and include a core; and a two-piece top piece adjoining the core to form a structural member. Abstract: An assembly that is configured to form a seal with a bottom of a closed door panel includes a holder, a threshold cap, and a biasing member. The holder defines a pivot axis and is configured to releasably couple to a substrate of a threshold. The threshold cap includes a sealing wall and a joint portion. The sealing wall is configured to form a seal with the bottom of the closed door. The joint portion is engaged with the holder to pivotally support the threshold cap about the pivot axis. The biasing member biases the sealing wall away from the holder towards a raised position.

The removably attachable assembly may include a housing to be attached to the escutcheon and a hub rotatably disposed within the housing for operably connecting an operating handle to a drive spindle. A torsion spring may bias the hub toward an initial position. At least one stopper plate may interact with the cartridge housing for limiting rotational motion of the hub relative to the housing. Selectively positioning the stopper plate and the spring relative to the housing provides the assembly with the ability to provide a right-handed operation and a left-handed operation.

The main latch is configured to be retractable toward the unhinged edge of the door panel by rotation of a latch drive hub in each of a clockwise direction and a counterclockwise direction relative to a first side of the door panel. The multipoint lock also includes at least one auxiliary latch and a deadbolt drive hub. Rotation of the deadbolt drive hub substantially simultaneously actuates the main latch and the at least one auxiliary latch.

A threshold cap extends along and at least partially overlies the upwardly open sill channel. At least one holder is formed separate from the threshold cap and is located in the upwardly open sill channel between the upstanding dam and the upstanding nosing, the at least one holder at least partially supporting the threshold cap. The holder is removably disposed within the sill channel. The threshold cap is pivotably attached to the holder. The threshold cap is capable of rotating between a raised position and a lowered position. In at least the raised position, a highest point of the threshold cap is closer to the upstanding dam than the upstanding nosing.

Abstract: A sill pan is disclosed that is configured for use in spanning rough openings of various lengths. The sill pan includes a base, a pre-formed end flange integral with and extending upwardly from a side edge of the base, a first connector portion formed in the base adjacent to the pre-formed end flange, and a second connector portion formed in the base adjacent to an end opposite to the pre-formed end flange. The sill pan is configured be attachable to an adjacent sill pan with one of the first connector portion and the second connector portion.
