Patents Assigned to Energent Corporation
  • Patent number: 9713780
Abstract: A compact rotating separator apparatus to which a fluid stream containing gas, two liquids of different density, and solids is supplied via nozzles or exhaust from a process component; and which employs high centrifugal forces to produce pure streams of the gas, each of the liquids, and a waste stream containing the solids. The energy in the fluid stream is converted to shaft power in the rotating separator apparatus and can be used to generate power. Oil, gas, water and solids from a production well can be directly separated into the constituent streams while producing useful power.

  • Patent number: 7244095
Abstract: A turbine, including a rotor on a shaft, and having in combination stationary nozzles discharging steam at a first pressure or pressures thereby producing impulse forces on the rotor; internal passages in the rotor producing a pressure head increase in the discharged steam, while simultaneously accelerating the steam, the steam discharged to a second pressure lower than the first pressure, producing reaction forces on the rotor; seal means between the stationary nozzles and the rotor, maintaining the pressure difference between the first pressure and the second pressure while minimizing steam leakage past the internal passages, turbine operations producing shaft power.

  • Patent number: 6913076
Abstract: A high temperature heat pump comprising a low temperature heat exchanger to produce vapor of a first fluid from heat transferred from a second fluid to a mixture of liquid and vapor of the first fluid; a compressor to increase the pressure and temperature of the produced vapor; a high temperature heat exchanger to heat the second fluid to useful, high temperatures from the condensation of the first fluid; and an expander to lower the pressure and temperature of the first fluid producing a mixture of vapor and liquid.

  • Patent number: 6878187
Abstract: A separation process, the steps that include: providing an expansion zone, flowing a gaseous fluid into and through the expansion zone, flowing a spray of liquid droplets into the expansion zone to mix with the gaseous fluid and produce nucleation sites, then expanding the flow of mixed gaseous fluid and liquid droplets to cause condensation of gas onto the liquid droplets, and then centrifuging liquid droplets into a separation layer.

  • Patent number: 6742337
Abstract: A waste heat recovery system comprising ducting to which hot gas is communicated, means to supply lower temperature diluent gas to the ducting, to mix with the hot gas, and produce a reduced temperature mixed gas stream, a vaporizer in communication with the ducting, to receive the stream and to transfer heat from the stream to a working fluid in the vaporizer to vaporize said fluid, and a blower operating to displace the stream through the vaporizer.

  • Patent number: 6716269
Abstract: A gas centrifuge operating to separate gases of differing chemical composition and molecular weight by a centrifugal force field. Such a centrifuge is operable to separate methane and carbon dioxide, and to produce torque, and a cascade of such centrifuges is operable to concentrate produced streams of carbon dioxide and methane, and to produce torque. A compact centrifugal gas processing system incorporating the gas centrifuge with other centrifugal components, is also provided.
