Abstract: A self-sustaining charging station configured to be placed in a remote location to charge electric vehicles. The charging station comprises a housing, at least one battery placed in the housing, a voltage converter electrically connected to the battery, a charging port electrically connected to the voltage converter, and one charging device electrically connected to the battery. The voltage converter is operable to receive a first voltage level from the battery and produce a second voltage level as an output. The charging port is connected to an electric vehicle to transfer the electrical energy from the battery to the electric vehicle. The charging device includes solar panels configured to change position and angular orientation to maximize electrical energy generation at the remote location.
