Patents Assigned to Energy Saving Products and Sales Corp.
  • Patent number: 8096745
Abstract: A three wheeled cart for transporting heavy rolls of paper to and from unwinders and reminders. The operator stands at the rear end where he can start and stop the cart, steer it, and control the carriage at the front end for lifting the paper roll from the floor and/or into a processing machine. The steerable rear wheel is driven electrically from a twist type throttle on a steering handle that can be moved from an active position to a stowed position. In the stowed position the cart is secured by the same motor-brake that drives the single rear wheel.

  • Patent number: 6994005
Abstract: A paper web, which may be pinless, is slit into side-by-side web ribbons that are merged one on top of the other for simultaneous crosscutting into appropriate page lengths. One web ribbon wraps substantially about an angled turnbar to shift it into registry with the other web ribbon. Pressurized air may be provided to the turnbar assembly to reduce friction with the web ribbon. The other web ribbon is detoured via a takeup roller by an amount that is dictated by the circumference of the turnbar assembly. A driven roller in continuous contact with one of the web ribbons draws it toward a cross cutter. A slave roller is in slipping contact with the remaining web ribbon and draws it toward the same crosscutter to maintain registry between the ribbons. Three-up, four-up, and more-up variations are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6736350
Abstract: A matrix is provided having at least two diagonal turnbars and one parallel turnbar respecting the direction a paperweb is fed into the matrix. By threading through the turnbars in one or another way, the paperweb exits either face-up or face-down as compared to its orientation upon entering the matrix. Additional turnbars enable the matrix to direct the paperweb to exit in any number of directions with either orientation.

  • Patent number: 6595465
Abstract: Two methods for redirecting a continuous paper web with a face up orientation from a first direction to a second direction with either a face up orientation or an opposing face down orientation are provided. The directions correspond to paper processing devices such as printers and cutters, and an assembly to do the same is also provided. In the preferred embodiment of the assembly, the web passes about a turnbar that is moveable between a first and a second position. In the first position, the web is redirected face down along a second direction. In the second position, the web passes about a roller perpendicular to the second direction and is redirected along the second direction in a face up orientation.

  • Patent number: 6575399
Abstract: A device for routing and redirecting a continuous web of sheet type material under tension, such as an endless roll of paper, from one processing or handling device to another, comprises a series of upright supports defining a polygon such as a square, and one or more generally horizontal tumbar members. When the web passes about a turnbar, the web's path is redirected in the vertical and/or horizontal planes toward the other web processing device.
