    Abstract: A plunger lift system, as well as a method for monitoring plunger parameters within a wellbore using such a plunger lift system, are provided. The plunger lift system includes a lubricator attached to a wellhead at the surface and a plunger dimensioned to travel through the production tubing upon being released from the lubricator. The plunger lift system also includes magnetic sensor systems installed along the production tubing, where each magnetic sensor system includes a magnetic sensor for detecting the passage of the plunger as it travels through the production tubing, as well a communication device for transmitting communication signals between the magnetic sensor systems and a computing system located at the surface, where the computing system includes a processor and a non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium including computer-executable instructions that direct the processor to dynamically determine the plunger position and/or velocity based on the received communication signals.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to an automated vehicle (AV) navigating on roads with a control model trained using residual policies for reducing error. In one embodiment, a method includes generating a generic policy for a control model used to navigate a road having multiple agents with traffic data acquired, the generic policy applying to general traffic scenarios associated with the road. The method also includes training a task policy with reinforcement learning a plurality of residual functions for error reduction of the generic policy, the residual functions factoring parameters about the multiple agents and specific traffic scenarios. The method also includes communicating the generic policy, the task policy for error reduction, and a domain distribution learned by comparing simulated data with the traffic data to a vehicle.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that implement virtual dataset creation and formal verification for artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) models in a manner that improves the performance of AI/ML models when encountering corner cases. For example, a corner case correction system is configured to synthesize new samples by recontextualizing samples related to corner cases, in new environments. The corner case correction system can implement an energetic neural process which separates input data into contextual features and content, and then recombines the context and content to synthesize new samples, generating a virtual dataset. The energetic neural process also performs a formal verification of the AI/ML models to address noise in the virtual dataset. The AI/ML model is trained using the virtual dataset, and an updated AI/ML model is created to execute predictive analysis for the corner cases associated with driving environments of autonomous vehicles.
