  • Patent number: 12345049
Abstract: A debris trap for a downspout comprises an angled grate, a baffle, and a cover piece. The downspout has an opening with a vertical extent and a horizontal extent. The angled grate has holes to enable fluid to flow through the angled grate and the angled grate can be secured to the inside of the downspout. The baffle can be secured above the vertical extent of the opening, extend partially behind the opening, and angle inward to direct fluid toward the rear of the angled grate. The cover piece can comprise a top flange configured to removably secure between the baffle and the downspout and a bottom flange configured to contact the angled grate and/or a portion of the downspout below the vertical extent of the opening. The debris trap can prevent debris from clogging the downspout.

  • Patent number: 11536033
Abstract: An interlocking panel system for covering a base surface with interlocking panels to prevent water ingress. A first panel is secured to the base surface. A second panel interlocks with the first panel via a hook portion on the second panel entering a receptacle of the first panel. The hook portion expands after entering a retaining portion of the receptacle, thereby preventing the hook portion of the second panel from being withdrawn from the first panel.

  • Patent number: 7275403
Abstract: A rain gutter roll forming machine wherein the final forming station has the exit drive rollers removed therefrom. The forming rollers for the lower front and back corners of the gutter are mounted for rotation about a single substantially horizontal axis and are supported by a camber adjustment plate. The camber adjustment plate is pivotable about a pivot point which is substantially within the plane of the bottom wall of the gutter. Accordingly, the relative pressures applied to the gutter by the corner forming rollers can be varied to compensate for longitudinal curvature of the gutter due to differential drag on the front and back gutter walls.

  • Patent number: 7272966
Abstract: An entry guide for a roll forming machine having fixed stop members for the different widths of sheet metal material which can be accommodated by the roll forming machine. The fixed stop members are offset in the vertical direction. Accordingly, when the roll forming machine is adapted to accommodate a different width of sheet metal material, there is no need to adjust the entry guide.

  • Patent number: 7204179
Abstract: A shear assembly for a roll forming machine which forms a rain gutter. A pair of coplanar blade members separated along a vertical line are caused to first move vertically downwardly, then have their lower ends pivot outwardly and, finally, have their upper ends pivot outwardly. The last motion is accomplished with enhanced mechanical advantage to cut through multiple layers of metal at the upper end of the gutter.

  • Patent number: 6981397
Abstract: A roll forming machine wherein a single operator can quickly replace roll forming stations to change the desired lateral profile and wherein adjustments to the lateral positions of the roll forming stations can be quickly effected. This is accomplished by mounting the roll forming elements on short tooling rail sections which in turn are mounted on longer mounting rails which are used as platforms whereby all the adjustments are preset so that all setup work is performed prior to installing the tooling rails. Because the tooling rail sections are shorter, they may be inserted in, and removed from, the machine by a single operator without requiring the partial disassembly, and subsequent reassembly, of the entry and shear assemblies.

  • Patent number: 6948349
Abstract: A roll forming machine for a debris shedding rain gutter having a lower trough and an upper hood, wherein independent adjustments are made to the front wall of the trough to insure that its upper edge is behind the forward end of the trough. An independently adjustable kick forming station is provided to create an inward bend near the upper end of the front wall. A block is adjustably mounted to a cross-member of the machine to press the front wall inwardly to insure that the angle where the front wall joins the bottom wall of the trough is approximately ninety degrees.

  • Patent number: 6766676
Abstract: A roll forming machine of the type which forms an indeterminate length panel of a desired lateral profile from a uniform width supply strip of sheet metal having a pair of parallel straight edges, wherein the machine defines a predetermined path of travel for the supply strip. The machine includes an arrangement for selectively changing the profile along an edge of the panel. The arrangement includes a mounting plate member mounted to a side of the machine and a module including first and second roll forming stations. The module is adapted for mounting to the mounting plate member with a selected one of the first and second roll forming stations along the predetermined path of travel. Structure is provided for allowing the securement of the module to the mounting plate member to be loosened, whereby the mounting plate member is movable between first and second predetermined positions wherein a selected one of the first and second roll forming stations is along the predetermined path of travel.
