Patent number: 6769589Abstract: The invention consists of a paper towel dispenser for dispensing individual sheets of paper towels from a roll of paper having regularly spaced apart lines of partial severance. The dispenser is comprised of a housing and a housing door which can be pivotally opened to allow a roll of sheet material to be inserted into the dispenser. The dispenser has a funnel-shaped exit to allow the end of the roll to protrude in order to be grasped by the user. A paper towel tearing member is located adjacent to the funnel outlet of said funnel and the opening of this member is adjustable in order to vary the size of the opening of the dispenser. This adjustment of the exit size creates an adjustment in the position at which the sheet tears away from the roll to allow the use of different types of sheet material in a single dispenser.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2002Date of Patent: August 3, 2004Assignee: Englewood Ventures, Inc.Inventor: Ladislav Paukov

Patent number: 6749149Abstract: A support arm for supporting a paper towel roll, having selected openings in one end, in a paper towel dispenser, and having a dispenser engaging arm portion, a cylindrical portion affixed to the arm portion, and an outer sleeve abutting a first side of the cylindrical portion. An inner sleeve slidably engages a second side of the cylindrical portion. An interconnecting structure interconnects the inner and outer sleeves and is insertable into the selected openings in the end of the paper towel.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2002Date of Patent: June 15, 2004Assignee: Englewood Ventures Inc.Inventor: Jed C. Patent number: 6581500Abstract: A dispenser for sheet material such as paper towels. The paper towels are provided in a continuous roll. The roll is mounted within an enclosure above a drum. The drum contains a cutting assembly that moves between a retracted position and a cutting position. The cutting assembly cuts the sheet material when in the cutting position. The sheet material frictionally engages the drum such that pulling the sheet material out of the enclosure causes the drum to turn. The turning of the drum causes the cutting assembly to move between the retracted and cutting positions once every revolution of the drum. More specifically, a guide projection is formed on the cutting assembly, and a track assembly is formed on the enclosure. The guide projection engages the track assembly to cause the cutting assembly to move between the retracted and cutting positions.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1998Date of Patent: June 24, 2003Assignee: Englewood Ventures Inc.Inventor: Josef Kietaibl

Patent number: 6508432Abstract: The invention is a toilet paper dispenser designed to hold two rolls of toilet paper. The dispenser has a housing containing a primary roll support and a secondary roll support. The secondary roll support is disposed parallel to and vertically above the primary roll support. The secondary roll support is connected to a release mechanism operative to lower the secondary roll support into a position to dispense toilet paper from its roll of toilet paper when the primary roll of toilet paper is exhausted. A roll guard prevents access to the secondary roll until the release mechanism has been activated. The release mechanism is automatically activated and released by a user-controlled trigger mechanism, preferably a lever, so that a user exhausting the primary roll of toilet paper may access the secondary roll without interfering with the dispenser.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2001Date of Patent: January 21, 2003Assignee: Englewood Ventures, Inc.Inventor: Semion Krivulin
