  • Patent number: 10184465
Abstract: A green community system centered around a transfer line compressed air energy storage system (TL-CAES). The TL-CAES system can supply compressed air to distant locations, and can be feed into companders to produce super-chilled air which can be used to improve the efficiency of natural gas generator sets. The generator sets can provide facilities with electricity and the super-chilled air can provide the facilities with heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. The compressed air in the TL-CAES system is to be provided by a transportable compressed air storage system (T-CAES). Air compressors driven powered by green energy sources provide compressed air for the T-CAES system. The compressed air supply in conjunction with companders can further systems such as water purification and carbon dioxide extraction.

  • Patent number: 10167205
Abstract: A wastewater purification system is provided. The wastewater purification system comprises a chamber. One or more wastewater nozzles are positioned near the top of the chamber. An intake duct is further provided to supply chilled air into the chamber, and one or more exhaust ducts are provided to remove the chilled air from the chamber. One or more perforated receptacles positioned near the bottom of the chamber to collect solid byproducts, and a watertight receptacle at the bottom of the chamber to collect a liquid product. The wastewater enters the chamber as wastewater droplets via the one or more wastewater nozzles, wherein the wastewater undergoes freeze separation due to heat exchange with a high mass flow of the chilled air between the intake duct and the one or more exhaust ducts.

  • Patent number: 10144014
Abstract: The present invention is a centrifuge to be used for removing ice particles from the air fed to a gas turbine system. In an embodiment, the centrifuge is comprised of three ducts defining an air-path which comprises of two bends greater than 90 degrees. In an embodiment, the first two ducts extend past the bends to provide a dead air zone to trap ice particles which have been introduced by cooling air containing moisture. The dead air zones are further provided with revolving doors which remove the ice particles from the system. In an embodiment, the centrifuge receives cold air from the compander and removes ice particles before exhausting the cold air to a gas turbine electric generator, such that the blades of the gas turbine generator are not damaged by the ice particles.

  • Patent number: 10072646
Abstract: The invention uses wind turbine and/or solar energy to enhance the efficiency of an underwater and/or underwater in-soil bed of a compressed air energy storage system. The apparatus comprises a wind turbine and/or a photovoltaic panel to drive an onshore compressor, which provides compressed air energy into an underwater pressure vessel. The buoyant rigid-wall pressure vessel will be located and restrained under water or in-soil underwater. The pressure vessel may be horizontal or in vertical configurations as well as parallel or in perpendicular orientation to the shoreline. The pressure vessel may be constructed of high compression strength reinforced concrete or reinforced fiber plastic material that need not have a high thermal capacitance or high thermal conductivity because the exhaust from the pressure vessel feed a near constant air temperature to the turboexpander on the surface via several long vertical small diameter pipes through the 50° to 70° F. water.

  • Publication number: 20180016160
Abstract: A wastewater purifier has a chamber having an upper ingress end and a lower drain end, one or more wastewater nozzles connected to a wastewater source positioned near the ingress end, to produce wastewater droplets, a chilled air ingress positioned near the ingress end, connected to a chilled air source, positioned to permit the chilled air to mix with the wastewater droplets, a perforated accumulator near the drain end adapted to collect frozen droplets, a drain below the accumulator, and an egress for the chilled air near the drain end. A wastewater purifier has an elongated flow chamber having an upper portion and lower portion, one or more wastewater nozzles positioned near the upper portion, one or more egress vents positioned near the upper portion, a perforated accumulator at the bottom of the chamber, and a chilled air ingress connected between the upper and lower portions.
