  • Patent number: 5584722
Abstract: A slot connector terminal structure for an electrical wire, in particular for an electrical terminal block, in which structure at least one conductive connector part is held stationary in a housing (5) provided with a wire-insertion through opening (23) extending facing an insulation-displacement and core-retaining slot (6) in the connector part, which opening makes it possible firstly for a wire to be connected to be inserted transversely above the slot, and secondly for the wire to be subsequently held stationary via its sheath, the housing further including positioning means for positioning a special connection tool, which positioning means are implemented in the form of a projecting element through which a moving blade of the tool penetrates. The projecting element is provided with a slot (13) into which the wire-insertion through opening (23) opens, which slot makes it possible for the blade of a tool to penetrate into and slide along the slot inside the housing.

  • Patent number: 5257945
Abstract: A terminal includes a metal component held in a housing in the form of at least one connection unit having the general plan appearance of a hollow, convex hexagon split on a longitudinal plane about which it is symmetrical for the purpose of connecting a single electric wire via two parallel stripping and retaining slits. Each unit includes two support sides which project in parallel from a fixed base and each of which carries two other sides of the hexagon shaped unit. Each slit is formed between two sides that are symmetrical. The two support sides press against different mutually parallel walls of the housing via respective symmetrically disposed projections.

  • Patent number: 5192234
Abstract: A terminal for electrical equipement in which a wire is held in a wire-insertion duct between a clamping element of a strip and another clamping element constituting the bottom of a cage that surrounds the strips. The wire is held by drive from a screw with the screw being screwed into the cage and pressing obliquely against the clamping element of the strip on the opposite side thereof to its side which faces the clamping element of the cage. The clamping element of the cage is extended by an extension constituting a wire-guide which projects from the cage into the wire insertion duct parallel to the screw axis and which obstructs the duct to guide any wire disposed obliquely in the wire-insertion duct.

  • Patent number: 5123853
Abstract: A connector ensure the wired connection of a piece of equipment in series with a multiconductor cable for transmitting low currents.A support block (5) has a plate on which through and closed end grooves are formed respectively for the passage of the wires of the cable (2) and wires (3A, 3A') for connecting equipment in series. The closed end grooves be adjacent one of the through grooves, at the level of a connection piece (6) partially housed in these two grooves for interconnecting wires. Each of the through grooves (20A) is provided with a median cavity (21) which interrupts the grove locally and which receives a wire cutting device means (6C). The two connection pieces housed in the same through groove are situated on each side of the cavity (21) and each allows the connection of a second different wire (3A, 3A').

  • Patent number: 5049094
Abstract: The fixing device for fixing onto a symmetrical rail comprises a fastening piece and a blade spring. The fastening piece includes a body having first and second hooks, with a third hook between them. The fastening piece also includes a rod connected to the body by a connection zone including a tooth. The blade spring has a longitudinal slot, a first bridge at one end of a curved part and a second bridge at an arched end of the blade spring; these bridges cooperate with the tooth and the third hook to fix the blade spring. The fastening piece is fixed to a case having an earthing terminal fixed to the rod on the fastening piece thereby providing an earth connection for the rail.

  • Patent number: 5011428
Abstract: A tapping connector for a screened multiwire electric cable comprising an outer covering around both a plurality of conductor wires which are electrically insulated from one another and electromagnetic screening forming a sheath around the conductor wires, and optionally around a drain conductor providing electrical continuity for the screening. An annular portion of the outer covering and at least a portion of the sheath forming the screen being removed from a selected position along the cable for installation of the connector. The connector comprises at least two complementary portions which are dissociable to allow a cable to be put into a position passing between them and to enable the cable to be held stationary relative thereto when they are reassembled.
