    Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a transceiver front end and at least two receive antennas. Each receive antenna is operationally connected to a receiver front end of the transceiver front end only via a respective low noise amplifier. Receive diversity is provided by providing operating power only to one of the low noise amplifiers, for example, only to the low noise amplifier of the receive antenna that receives the largest portion of the received RF power.
