Abstract: A drying and milling apparatus includes a housing and a rotatable section. The housing has an air or gas inlet and a product inlet at a first end and a product outlet at a second end. The rotatable section has a plurality of blades which extend radially from a hub portion of the rotatable section and are adapted to rotate within the housing and to break up and to mill any product that is introduced into the housing. The product inlet is configured to direct any incoming product directly onto the blades of the rotatable section. Also included is a sewerage processing plant incorporating at least one drying and milling apparatus substantially as specified herein, a method of drying and milling substantially dewatered sewage and a sewage treatment process incorporating a method of drying and milling substantially dewatered sewage substantially as herein described.
