Abstract: A method for controlling a climate-conditioned gas-flow in a freight container comprises providing (S2) of a climate-conditioned gas-flow into a cargo compartment defined by a floor, a ceiling and walls, of which one comprises a door. Measurements of climate conditions are obtained (S4) in a gas-flow going into the climate arrangement, going out from the climate arrangement and/or the cargo compartment. The climate-conditioned gas-flow is controlled (S6) based on the measurements of climate conditions. The climate-conditioned gas-flow is provided in vicinity of the ceiling, whereby a part of the climate-conditioned gas-flow reaches the container wall comprising a door. A door position is monitored (S8), detecting whether the door is open or closed. When the door is monitored to be open, the climate-conditioned gas-flow is deviated (S12) as an adaptive protective gas flow over the opening of the open door. A freight container for the method is also disclosed.
Abstract: A climate-controlled freight container (10) comprises a casing (12), enclosing a cargo compartment (20) and a control compartment (26). The container further comprises a climate system (30) that has at least two climate modules (40) and an air distribution arrangement (21), configured to distribute air from the climate system into the cargo compartment and. A central climate-control unit (52) is configured for collection of measurements associated with climate conditions of the cargo compartment and for controlling the climate system. Each of the climate modules is configured for adapting climate properties of air flowing through the climate modules from a return air plenum (36) to a supply air plenum (34). Each of the at least two climate modules comprises a local climate-control unit (46), configured for controlling an operation of the climate module. The central climate-control unit is configured for providing operational instructions to the local climate-control units.

Abstract: A freight container (10) and a method for sensing at least one of a temperature and a humidity in a freight container are provided. The freight container comprises a cargo compartment (20) being defined by a floor (16), a ceiling (14) and walls (18a-d). The freight container comprises a climate arrangement (50), configured for providing conditioned air-flow (100) into the cargo compartment of said freight container. The climate arrangement further comprises at least one environmental sensor (52A-E) for sensing a temperature and/or a humidity in the cargo compartment, wherein the at least one environmental sensor is accommodated in at least one recess (60) in at least one of the ceiling and walls.

Abstract: A temperature-controlled transport container (10) has a cargo space (1) for accommodating temperature-sensitive goods and a refrigeration system. The refrigeration system comprises a closed air circuit (2), separate from the cargo space and located outside of and contiguous with at least one wall (9) of the cargo space. The refrigeration system further comprises at least one refrigeration unit (5) configured to cool air in the closed air circuit. The refrigeration system also comprises a pressurizing unit (8) for establishing a pressure difference between the closed air circuit and the ambient environment (20) outside of, but in a vicinity of, the temperature-controlled transport container.
Abstract: An air-cargo container is equipped with a modular refrigerating unit, which is attachable into the container shell in substantially one piece. Preferably, a control unit for the modular refrigerating unit is also provided as one single module. The refrigerating unit comprises the entire enclosure of an airflow path around an icebox, and is preferably mounted at a small distance from the wall and ceiling of the container. Simple positioning elements facilitate the actual positioning and mounting procedure. The refrigerating unit preferably comprises sealing flanges which during mounting by the positioning elements automatically are fitted into elements at the container wall. A manufacturing method is also disclosed, which comprises mounting of modular units into a shell of an air-cargo container. The mounting is preferably performed by using positioning elements, which guides the modular units into the proper positions.
