Abstract: A device for removing hair includes a housing and a shaving head fixedly positioned in the housing. The shaving head includes generally disk-like depilator assemblies mounted on a shaft. Each of the assemblies includes a disk includes sloping regions on faces of the disk between lobes of the disk, pressure-transferring protrusions, and a rotation-transferring protrusion elements on the faces, a spacer disposed on the faces to prevent an accumulation of debris and/or to allow for periodic tilting of the disk so as to force the pressure transferring portion to press a pincer of an adjacent disc. A recess in one of the faces accommodates a one rotation-transferring protrusion of another adjacent disk to transfer a rotational force therebetween. Pincers are disposed between the lobes at the sloping portions and tilt about an axis according to contact with the pressure-transferring protrusions of the adjacent disk.

Abstract: An epilating device to remove hair, including a frame including a power source frame, a reduction gear system frame, and a base, a power source supported in the power source frame to provide power to the hair removing operation, a reduction gear system supported in the reduction gear frame to transfer power from the power source to the base, and an epilating unit supported by the base. The epilating unit includes a plurality of epilators tightly aligned in a column along a curved shaft, each epilator having a set of tweezers disposed with respective tweezing ends radially extending to be in line with an outer wall of the column, to rotate about the curved shaft according to the power transferred by the reduction gear system. A curve in the curved shaft induces the tweezers to close when the tweezers pass along the outside of the curve during the rotation.

Abstract: A power converter includes a transforming unit having pins outwardly projecting from the transforming unit, and a socket. An adapter in the power converter includes a first plug mounted on a first side of the adapter, and a second plug mounted on a second side of the adapter, wherein the socket on the transforming unit receives the first plug or the second plug. Pin cavities on the first side of the adapter, opposite to the second plug, provide a contact to receive the pins to allow the transformer unit to convert an input voltage to an output voltage. Pin cavities on the second side of the adapter, opposite to the first plug, provide a contact to receive one of the pins of the transformer unit to allow the transformer to convert the input voltage to the output voltage.

Abstract: A dual ended hair remover which includes a casing having a motor, an epilating head for plucking hairs from the skin of a user attached to one end of the casing, a depilating head for cutting the hairs from the skin of the user attached to the other end of the casing, and a handle which covers one of the epilating and depilating heads while providing power to the other one of the epilating and depilating heads. The handle fits over one or the other end of the casing and provides power to the head which is not covered. The handle may also simultaneously provide power to the head which is covered. The handle protects the user and the unused head by covering the unused head and provides power to at least the head which is in use. Further, by incorporating the epilating and depilating heads on the casing at the same time and at opposite ends, ease of use is obtained. Still further, in the instances that only the head which is in use is being driven, power conservation is achieved.
