Abstract: An improved low pressure low speed concrete polishing apparatus and method of cleaning and polishing a floor is used with a conventional rotary flooring machine. A polishing pad has interchangeable polymer strips that are slideably received within the housing of the pad. The polymer strips have an abrasive material embedded therein which collectively work to polish the floor while cleaning the floor during normal low speed floor cleaning conditions.

The exemplary abrasive hard surface preparation device includes a substantially planar substrate layer having a first end connectable to the support member and an opposite second end. Abstract: A brush or pad (10) for a power sander for sanding surfaces includes a base (12) for mounting onto a power sander and a plurality of depending bristles (16) with the bristles having a plurality of hard particles (22), for example diamonds particles of grit 70 size, brazed or otherwise secured onto the bristle surface such that as the bristle wears down, new particle surfaces are exposed at the distal end (20) of the bristle to maintain sanding performance of the brush. The particles (22) may be spot brazed in steel with a brazing alloy to retain flexibility of the steel bristle.

Abstract: A method of applying a protective gloss coating to a concrete floor includes applying a low viscosity organic coating to the concrete floor, removing the excess organic coating that lies above the peaks of concrete and curing the coating in place.
