Patent number: 6074067Abstract: A fixing and covering structure for a reflection mirror in which a pair of base bodies each having a curved inner surface are assembled to form a substantially semi-cylindrical reflection surface. The fixing and covering structure includes cover members and fixing elements. Each of the cover member has a shape conforming to the shape of the corresponding end of a semi-cylindrical space defined by the semi-cylindrical reflection surface and a plurality of holes formed dt positions that face the corresponding longitudinal end surface of each of the base bodies. Each of the fixing elements is disposed to penetrate the corresponding hole to fix the cover member to the base body.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 1997Date of Patent: June 13, 2000Assignee: Equestrian Co., Ltd.Inventor: Takehiko Shimada

Patent number: 5930059Abstract: A reflection mirror includes a reflection mirror body and a photo sensor for luminance measurement. The reflection mirror body has a three-dimensional curved reflection surface that receives light from a light source and reflects the light toward an object to be illuminated. The reflection mirror body also has a through hole in the vicinity of the center of the reflection surface. The center axis of the through hole is substantially parallel to a light path between the refection mirror body and the object but perpendicularly intersects a light path between the light source and the reflection mirror body. The photo sensor is received within the through hole and adapted to measure the luminance of an illuminated surface of the object.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 1998Date of Patent: July 27, 1999Assignee: Equestrian Co., Ltd.Inventor: Takehiko Shimada

Patent number: 5481408Abstract: The distance between the base point of the light source and the curvature start point of the virtual reflection mirror is preset. Then the distance between the curvature start point of the virtual reflection mirror and the start point of the object being illumined is set. The ray of light striking the entire object is determined by the fourth straight line. As the fourth straight line is progressively moved, the third straight line is also progressively moved from the curvature start point of the virtual reflection mirror to describe the locus of the curvature of the virtual reflection mirror. This locus is obtained as the light distribution data for the object.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 1994Date of Patent: January 2, 1996Assignee: Equestrian Co., Ltd.Inventor: Mizuho Shimada

Patent number: 5444576Abstract: A cooled reflective mirror apparatus is provided, in which a reflective mirror body is so constructed as to make the cooling fluid spread in a plane covering the outer wall surface of the reflective mirror body to improve the cooling effect and in which the thickness of the reflective mirror body is made large enough to prevent excess heat from the inner side of the body from reaching the outer wall surface thereby minimizing the temperature rise in the cooling liquid to permit long hours of cooling. The curved inner surface portion is plated to form a reflection mirror surface. The cooling tank is placed in contact with the outer side of the reflective mirror body through the matching flat surface portions of the mirror body and the cooling tank. The cooling tank is fitted with cooling liquid supply and discharge pipes so that the cooling liquid supplied temporarily stays in and circulates through the tank to absorb heat from the outer surface of the reflective mirror body.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1993Date of Patent: August 22, 1995Assignee: Equestrian Co., Ltd.Inventor: Mizuho Shimada

Patent number: 5375015Abstract: The reflection mirror of this invention is considered an improvement over the conventional art in that it has a plating means that smoothes the inner surface of the reflection mirror body and a means for intercepting the heat of the light and that the mirror can be assembled into a desired size. The feature of this improvement is that the simplified polishing work that smoothes the inner surface of the reflection mirror body does not degrade but rather improves the quality of the mirror, uniformity of illumination directivity, and productivity. Since the heat absorbing layer absorbs heat rays, any deterioration of an object being illuminated can be prevented. Another advantage is that it is possible to prevent loss of freshness of food, and discoloration and deformation of products that might otherwise be caused by heat rays.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1992Date of Patent: December 20, 1994Assignee: Equestrian Co., Ltd.Inventors: Naoko Itoh, Mizuho Shimada

Patent number: 5327293Abstract: The reflection mirror apparatus of this invention, which can be applied to light projector, sterilizing lamp and development device, improves the light reflection precision and the light collecting performance, making it possible to clearly focus the reflected on an object of interest. The reflection mirror apparatus consists of a reflection mirror body made up of two or more reflection mirror bases, and plate-like reflection mirror auxiliary members. The reflection mirror base body and the reflection mirror auxiliary members can be assembled and disassembled by means of screws to a desired size.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1992Date of Patent: July 5, 1994Assignee: Equestrian Co., Ltd.Inventor: Mizuho Shimada

Patent number: 5323271Abstract: The water- and air-cooled reflection mirror of this invention, which can be applied to light projector, sterilizing lamp and development device, cools with water and air the reflection mirror that is heated by intense heat of the light source. The water flowing into the water passages formed in the reflection, mirror base body cools the base body to cool the air present in the opening in the base body, thereby preventing overheating of the reflection mirror by the circulating water and cooling air.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1992Date of Patent: June 21, 1994Assignee: Equestrian Co., Ltd.Inventor: Mizuho Shimada
