Patents Assigned to Equipements Automobiles Marshall
  • Patent number: 4621389
Abstract: A windscreen wiper device, in particular for a single blade or double blade assembly, comprises for at least one of the blades, firstly a main wiper arm articulated at one end on a hinge pin, this main wiper arm being provided at its other end with a rocker and, secondly, an auxiliary arm articulated at one end on a portion of the rocker and at its other end, on a clevis pin substantially parallel to the hinge pin of the main wiper arm. The clevis pin of the auxiliary arm is displaced in relation to the geometrical axis of rotation of its clevis joint, along a central longitudinal direction of this arm by a distance sufficient to allow the assembly of the main wiper arm and of the auxiliary arm to be raised in the normal way by removing it from the surface to be wiped by rotation around the said clevis and hinge pin.

  • Patent number: 4597129
Abstract: A windscreen wiper device comprises a drive crank 6 mounted fast on a drive shaft 7 of a drive motor, a connecting rod 5 pivotally mounted on said drive crank by means of a crank pin means, and a windscreen wiper blade support arm 2 connected to said connecting rod 5 so that rotation of said drive crank 6 by said drive motor rotating in a first direction sweeps said support arm 2 through a predetermined arc.

  • Patent number: 4586473
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, an iterative search operation for the optimum value .theta..sub.opt of the angle of advance is carried out by adding periodically an angle of advance increment .DELTA..theta. to the instantaneous angle of advance .theta..sub.o, and by detecting the instantaneous speeds N.sub.1t and N.sub.2t which correspond to the angles of advance .theta..sub.o and .theta..sub.o +.DELTA..theta., and by determining the direction of variation .DELTA.N of the engine speed so as to correct the angle of advance .theta..sub.o such that the variation .DELTA.N is as low as possible, or even zero, such that the angle of advance .theta..sub.o is kept in the vicinity of its optimum value .theta..sub.opt. In the case of transitory states, a "floating cartography" is superposed and takes into account a curve of the advance as a function of the engine speed. The invention may be used for controlling the ignition advance of the engines of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4559465
Abstract: A brush holder for an electric motor having a commutator. The brush holder includes a simple flat plate (10) cut or stamped to provide slots (20) for sliding of the brushes (12) and openings (26) for holding the brush springs (14). The springs (14) normally engage the ends of the associated brushes (12) to bias them inwardly towards the motor commutator. When the brushes are retracted, the springs engage the sides of the brushes to lock the brushes in the slots.
