Abstract: To provide a vehicle which can move independently as an own independent vehicle and can run integrally in linkage with another vehicle. A plurality of single-seat vehicles which can move independently are combined and they move integrally while a predetermined formation is maintained through linkage among respective vehicles. One of all the vehicles moving in linkage serves as a host vehicle and an occupant in the host vehicle becomes a driver in the linkage moving. A host vehicle 1 runs with speed/direction according to running operation conducted by an occupant. Simultaneously therewith, the host vehicle 1 instructs following vehicles 2 to 4 to synchronize (follow) the host vehicle. The host vehicle 1 transmits a speed, a direction, and a relative position to the host vehicle to the following vehicles 2 to 4 as moving information in order to synchronize the following vehicles with the host vehicle (maintain linkage relationship).

  • Publication number: 20100023213
Abstract: A vehicle control device which can at least provide compatibility between a high grip performance and fuel efficiency or compatibility between quietness and fuel efficiency is provided. When a camber angle of a wheel 2 is adjusted to a negative camber, ground contact in a first tread 21 is increased and ground contact in a second tread 22 is decreased. Accordingly, the high grip performance or the quietness is provided. On the other hand, when the camber angle of the wheel 2 is adjusted to a positive camber, the ground contact in the first tread 21 is decreased and the ground contact in the second tread 22 is increased. Accordingly, a rolling resistance becomes low, and fuel saving is achieved. In this manner, by adjusting the camber angle of the wheel 2, the compatibility can be provided between conflicting performances of the high grip performance or the quietness and the fuel saving.

  • Publication number: 20090305108
Abstract: A surface on the fuel electrode side of a lower portion of a separator in a fuel cell stack is made to have water repellency, so that water accumulated in a fuel gas flow path can be appropriately discharged, and thus so that reduction in fuel cell performance and deterioration of the fuel electrode can be surely prevented. For that purpose, in a fuel cell device, a fuel cell having an electrolyte layer interposed between the fuel electrode and an oxygen electrode includes a cell module laminated so as to interpose a separator formed with the fuel gas flow path along the fuel electrode, and a fuel gas flows substantially perpendicularly to the direction of gravity in the fuel gas flow path. The separator is provided with a water-repellent surface on the fuel electrode side of a lower portion thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090234552
Abstract: A driver model with higher precision is created as an evaluation standard for a driving condition in a normal condition. Further, a driving action is estimated using a driver model which can be created easily and can represent driving characteristics of a driver more precisely. By detecting biometric information of a driver, whether a driver is in a usual condition or not is recognized. Then, data of driving conditions (own vehicle information such as, for example, operation amounts of accelerator, brake, and steering wheel, vehicle speed, inter-vehicle distance, acceleration, and the like) are collected while the driver is driving, and from the driving condition data, a part indicating that the driver operates in a usual condition is extracted to create a driver model. Thus, without making the driver aware, a driver model for normal times can be created automatically.

  • Publication number: 20090011319
Abstract: A fuel cell system according to the present invention allows the fuel cell system to realize the higher output. An electrode of a fuel cell includes a gas permeable base material, an anode catalyst layer 92a and a cathode catalyst layer 93a formed on the surface of the base material, on which the catalyst is carried. The anode catalyst layer 92a and the cathode catalyst layer 93a contain carbon aerogels obtained through a process of grinding an organic wet gel material into gel particles, performing a solvent displacement by bringing the gel particle into contact with the water soluble organic solvent, subjecting the gel particle to supercritical drying to obtain dry gel powder, and subjecting the dry gel powder to thermal decomposition.

  • Patent number: 6663814
Abstract: An adsorbent block that has a high adsorption efficiency and can be produced at a low cost is provided. A paste comprising water having mainly active carbon powder dispersed therein is prepared, and a molded block is formed with the paste. Water is removed from the molded block to bind mainly the active carbon powder, so as to obtain an adsorbent block formed to have cells. The paste contains an agar component that is capable of shrinking the molded block and of increasing the surface area of the cell by disappearance.

  • Patent number: 5751228
Abstract: A guide system gives sight-seeing guidance for various sight-seeing objects located within a wide area without an interval of pause. The guide system includes guide data storage wherein guide data, for showing objects located along the travelled road, and for showing streets and other objects in the local area, is classified into types and stored. A guide information output section outputs guidance information pertaining to an object, located by search, having sight-seeing interest. A position detector detects and traces the current position. Further, the guide system has a plurality of search mechanisms, each of which searches only within a specific category of guide objects and only within an area defined at least in part by the current position, as identified by the current position detector. The guide system searches for and extracts information for an object from the guide data storage and outputs the information pertinent thereto.
