  • Patent number: 11008255
Abstract: A method for preparation of 1 m3 of fresh concrete includes mixing 1000 to 2000 kg of aggregate in a forced circulation mixer, wherein 40% to 100% by weight of the aggregate is recyclate made from inert construction and demolition waste. Microsilica is added to the mixture under constant mixing, and the mixture is then mixed for 40 to 80 seconds, whereby the microsilica covers particles of the recyclate and fills up pores in the recyclate. Then under constant mixing, cement or cement and at least one substituent of cement is added to the mixture in a total amount of 135 to 600 kg, and the mixture is further mixed while sprinkling or spraying the mixture with 135 to 250 kg of mixing water for under constant mixing such that a surface of the cement is gradually wetted and a cementing compound being formed gradually adheres to the particles of the recyclate already coated with the microsilica. The mixture is continued to be mixed for 80 to 160 seconds, wherein fresh concrete is prepared.

  • Patent number: 7686590
Abstract: A vacuum control system allows the degree of vacuum in a vacuum vessel to be kept constant while removing vaporized components degassed into the vacuum vessel through a gas permeation diaphragm by stably introducing a very small amount of air into a vacuum exhaust path of the vacuum vessel. The vacuum control system controls the rotary power of a DC brushless motor, continuously controls displacement of a vacuum pump, and thus keeps the degree of vacuum in a vacuum vessel constant, by decompressing the inside of the vacuum vessel using an exhaust vacuum pump which operates with the DC brushless motor, monitoring the inside pressure of the vacuum vessel using a pressure sensor, and controlling a voltage applied to the DC brushless motor on the basis of an output signal resulting from measurement of the inside pressure of the vacuum vessel by the pressure sensor.

  • Patent number: 7373274
Abstract: Methods and associated structure for flexible, easy-to-use, robust, statistical analysis of one or more factors associated with a continuous response outcome. A simple user interface provides a wide variety of statistical analysis derived from user provided data. The user provides data in a simple tabular format after which no further human intervention is required to manipulate the data. Data is automatically manipulated and transformed as required to perform the desired, selected statistical analysis. Reduction of human interaction in manipulating data to perform desired statistical analysis improves statistical analysis processes by reducing human errors introduced in data manipulation and encouraging users to perform more thorough analysis because time-saving shortcuts are no longer required.

  • Publication number: 20070192062
Abstract: Strategies are described for analyzing test data received from tests performed on a fire pump, and then automatically computing an overall grade (e.g., excellent, good, fair, or poor) which reflects how the analyzed test data compares with reference data. A standard curve or a manufacturer's curve can serve as the baseline reference data. The output grades can be conveyed in tabular form or graphical form. In the graphical form, the analyzed test data can be plotted for comparison with plural reference curves, where the reference curves demarcate ranges associated with the possible grades.

  • Patent number: 6623718
Abstract: This method generates the first electronically excited state of oxygen (singlet delta) at ambient temperature by a gas-solid chemical reaction involving a solid alkali metal peroxide or a solid alkaline earth peroxide and a non-radioactive-hydrogen-isotope halide gas. Singlet delta oxygen was produced from solid lithium peroxide, sodium peroxide or barium peroxide by reaction with gaseous hydrogen chloride, hydrogen bromide, deuterium chloride, or deuterium bromide. The method can be practiced in a static or a flow system, and the reaction may take place in a chemical oxygen-iodine laser. The described process avoids unstable precursors, such as basic hydrogen peroxide, and liquid phase quenching. The method is safe, compact, solvent-free, mechanically simple, requires no external energy source, and permits the generation of large quantities of singlet delta oxygen. Furthermore, since no liquid phase separations are required the process is ideally suited for zero gravitational force conditions.
