Patent number: 8869677Abstract: A piston for a brake caliper of a disc brake constructed as a pot which is open at one end, having a longitudinal axis, a wall, and a piston head. The piston is supported in a cylinder of the brake caliper such that it can be moved along the longitudinal direction, and it can be placed against a brake pad in the region of the piston head by an axial contact surface. When the piston is subjected to pressure by a hydraulic fluid, the piston moves in the cylinder and presses the brake pad against a brake disc. A projection having a conical surface is provided on an inner surface of the piston head. A recess is provided, which is substantially at the same distance from the longitudinal axis as the projection on the inner surface of the piston head, on an outer surface of the piston head.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2008Date of Patent: October 28, 2014Assignees: Continental Teves AG & Co. oHG, Erdrich-Beteiligungs GmbHInventors: Dirk Koch, Herwig Bauer, Thomas Winkler, Anja Klimt, Uwe Zeibig

Patent number: 8522679Abstract: A press with gripper rails for grasping and relocating workpieces onto a work table, the gripper rails being movable in a horizontal plane and vertically by a transfer device. The gripper rails are connected to the respective parts of the transfer device by gripper rail couplings, a locking mechanism with a tie rod being provided, which locks or frees the gripper rail coupling. To actuate the locking mechanism, an actuating element is provided which displaces the tie rod between a holding position and a releasing position and which can be actuated by the gripper rail coupling being lowered or raised. Furthermore, the locking mechanism has a spring element which holds the tie rod in the holding position. Finally, the locking mechanism has a latching mechanism with a detent, which fixes the tie rod in the releasing position and which is freed automatically when the gripper rail coupling is being coupled.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2009Date of Patent: September 3, 2013Assignee: Erdrich Beteiligungs GmbHInventors: Uwe Zeibig, Klemens Nock

Publication number: 20110107924Abstract: The invention relates to a press (1) with gripper rails (3) for grasping and relocating workpieces onto a work table (5), the gripper rails (3) being movable in a horizontal plane and vertically by a transfer device (2). The gripper rails (3) are connected to the respective parts (50, 51) of the transfer device (2) by means of gripper rail couplings (14), a locking mechanism (17) with a tie rod (18) being provided, which locks or frees the gripper rail coupling (14). To actuate the locking mechanism (17), an actuating element (19) is provided which displaces the tie rod (18) between a holding position and a releasing position and which can be actuated by the gripper rail coupling (14) being lowered or raised. Furthermore, the locking mechanism (17) has a spring element (34) which holds the tie rod (18) in the holding position.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2009Publication date: May 12, 2011Applicant: ERDRICH BETEILIGUNGS GMBHInventors: Uwe Zeibig, Klemens Nock

Publication number: 20070295052Abstract: A device (1) for the stepped displacement of workpieces inside a press (2) or similar processing equipment is provided. The device includes at least one or two gripper rails (4) that can be displaced back and forth in the direction of a longitudinal extent thereof and in the feed direction, the rails being displaced transversely in relation to one another in order to engage workpieces. To execute a gripping movement, the gripper rail (4) includes levers (5) that run at an angle and in opposite directions to one another, whereby the ends of the levers that face away from the gripper rail can be displaced towards or away from one another. Pivoting arms (11), which together with the levers (5) form scissors or half scissors type drives, are hinged on the levers (5) to guide the resultant transverse movement.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2005Publication date: December 27, 2007Applicant: ERDRICH BETEILIGUNGS GMBHInventors: Klemens Nock, Theo Pfeifer

Publication number: 20050022573Abstract: To produce a switch cylinder (1) with a cam (2) extending about its periphery, with side flanks (3) projecting radially, and changing its direction in its run, a tubular piece or a deep-drawn rotational body (10) made of metal is compressed in axial direction and bulged out along the run of the cam (2) and the bulged area (20) is axially compressed by tools (5, 6) moved axially toward one another and surrounding the adjacent areas of the bulge (20) on the outside, each of the edges of which having the run of the flanks (3) of the cam (2).Type: ApplicationFiled: August 11, 2003Publication date: February 3, 2005Applicant: Erdrich Beteiligungs GmbHInventors: Uwe Zeibig, Ulrich Lorenz, Gebhard Fischer, Stefan Schutter

Patent number: 6702098Abstract: A device (1) to feed work pieces in steps, for example within a press (2), using two gripping rails (3) that can be moved back and forth in the feed direction, that includes at least one feed traverse (8) that moves perpendicular to itself with which to uniformly feed and return the gripping rails (3). Coupled to this traverse is at least one tilt arm (9) that is driven by a servomotor (11) whose tilt motion is converted to the perpendicular motion of the feed traverse (8) and thus into the feed and return motion of the gripping rails (3). There can also be two tilt arms (9) arranged in a mirror-image fashion.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2003Date of Patent: March 9, 2004Assignee: Erdrich Beteiligungs GmbHInventors: Uwe Zeibig, Klemens Nock
