    Abstract: A method for the fabrication of a mixture composed of a highly-viscous liquid phase and a thermoplastic and/or elastomeric material which is delivered to the liquid phase in the form of a comminuted solid phase and thereafter plasticized. Importantly, the plasticizing heat is primarily generated by friction internally of the mass. The apparatus for the performance of the method comprises a work container and a stirrer and/or comminution element arranged therein and driven at a high peripheral speed.
