Abstract: A magnifying glass has an eye-side aspherical biconvex-lens and an object-side meniscus lens, the concave lens surface of which faces a field of vision. This produces a magnifying glass, which is flexible to use and at the same time is not complex in its design.

Abstract: An intermediate product is used in the manufacture of light sources with optical front beam guiding elements to constrict the beam divergence of light emitters. The intermediate product has multiple front beam guiding elements and a support, to which the front beam guiding elements are fixed in a defined order. An optical front beam guiding element is implemented so that it can be attached to each light emitter. The support consists of a stronger, more rigid material, compared with the material of the front beam guiding elements. The result is an intermediate product which allows processing of even expensive materials for front beam guiding elements and, because of its special suitability for automated further processing steps, has cost advantages.
Abstract: A hyperocular lens assembly attachable to an eyeglass lens includes a lens, and a holding frame at least partially surrounding the lens. The holding frame has an end face facing the eyeglass lens that is attachable to the eyeglass lens at one of a location behind and before the eyeglass lens. The end face has a contour corresponding to a surface contour of the eyeglass lens.
Abstract: An optical reading device is provided with a rod-shaped lens body having a first and a second pair of side surfaces extending in the longitudinal direction of the rod and, in pairs, disposed opposite of one another. At least one side surface of the first pair of side surfaces is configured as curved surface which is curved convexly in the directions of both the length and the width of the rod. At least one side surface of the second pair of side surfaces has an additional curved surface. In this manner, a magnifying lens with two different magnification options is created.
